B.T.C. - coverfreaking

Okay, I'm willing to be coverfreak of the month, but please don't throw stones at me. Rather check this:

Some of you say that some parts are ripped/covered from another tracks. I don't know it this is true, whatever, I don't even care.
You know me, I don't bother covering if the tracks is good.

BUT, if it's really a cover, then there's a small problem that bugs me: Simon said it will be 100% original. Don't tell me he didn't know it contains samples from others cause I don't believe :P

Sooo, if it really got covered, Michael's gotta explain this quick
(@Michael: Don't take this too seriously man, this track is real good anyway, you made a great step-in! ;))

As I said in some other topic, I don't think it's any cover, and I don't think Mike thinks using a sound sample from another track to build a new, all different track is covering (and I don't think so either).
 This is a signature.

Personally I don't think that either, but using a complete melody definitely is.
And some of you said that the piano part is from somewhere else.

Yes, this is from Blue Oysters Cult's "Don't fear the reaper", I know this song, because it's been COVERED by HIM in 1997, and it was on their first EP, I used to like them back in 2000.

You can watch Blue Oysters Cult video of the song the piano melody is taken from on YOUTUBE, but I warn you ;)

You'll be desesparate to just LEAVE the page after hearing it 30sec, this is so working as a loop, the piano part Scooter has got is strictly what's all to be heard in the original song, pretty horrible. Scooter used this melody part in the good side, if they made a COVER of the entire song, I don't think anyone would like it

My brother tells me the whole groove is completely similar to The KLF - 3AM Eternal

Well, still don't care

MaddyJ: Thanks for the tip ;) I also say it's fortunate that they only took a small part and not the whole :D

KLF

It has nothing to do with Mortal Kombat (tough similar, but only a little).
It's KLF - What Time Is Love. (The "Mu-Mu" sounds are also from that song). They already used it in Posse too (only a little modified). It's not new I think. They always liked that sound.

I have always had this idea:

Another single was planned...

...but then Behind the Cow was chosen instead

(like Habanera and Nessaja)

how can they rip a melody twise  i dont like this single. its a badly produced track.

and i agree with 3pmozscooter, i think michael thought their own song they produced will be released as a single but then someone changed their minds and now they release the ripoff track.

18

Sunday, December 3rd 2006, 10:05am

About the ripping: I admit, it's not nice that it is (again) a rip off. BUT we must think of something: Mike NEVER said that it wouldn't be a cover. He said it would be original. You can also read that as: original for Scooter. And it IS an original track from Scooter. Electric guitars+rap+drums+HPV= not done by Scooter yet. I know, it's not nice to look at it this way but I don't believe Mike would lie to us.

I posted this in another topic. Read it why I think Mike hasn't lied to us but we fooled ourselfs.

Simon said it will be 100% original.

It depends on how you see it....

in one way its really 100 % - its original scooter ripping

but not 100 % made by themselve....

but for me is this not important! 8)
