@CanobieFan I think no one has answered your question about Depeche Mode yet. Well, they are techno, but no dance. We use to say they are the fathers of techno cause they are doing music since 1981. Some famous artists have covered them in last years (Marilyn Manson - Personal Jesus, Scooter - Stripped, Smashing Pumpkin - Never let me down, or some new versions like Linkin Park - Enjoy The Silence)
