Welcome everybody to another weekend.

I am wondering lately about how the people of the "rich world" think nowadays because i had this experience, as a christian, when i feel the need of talking about the Bible or share about my faith in Christ, mainly to my family or my neighbours, they answer me something like this:

That's right for you, but what we believe is right too

What do you think of this?

Yes, I agree, what is right for YOU, but what I believe is right also. I will never back down when it comes to rights that are just thrown away from people like me.

(South Australia is going to pass a law so that same-sex couples are at least recognised as de-factos, that's great news for us!!! )

Artwork_es, what is your opinion on Homosexuality???

And i think that to say "What you believe is right to you, and what i believe is right for me" is a good answer, because you do not only respect other people's beliefs, also you respect your own belief, yourself.

So that's all good :D

And to 3PM: i said my opinion about laws and homosexuality in another topics already, i think you don't want to hear it again

I believe in the existence of God, that Heīs the spirit that moves the life... the everythingīs sense; I believe that Jesus lived, and in many things, but I canīt believe in the Religion. Some things are truth, Iīm sure, but not others... Besides I think that there is not only one Religion, the Catholic, as the real one, otherwise EVERYONE has points, some things, that are real, sincere and pure too.

But the most of the times, Religions are the grounds of many lies, of the problems in this world, of the fanaticism, of the wars.... because the human beings have really created the Religions the way they are now a days. And itīs a pity the great values to be covered with such a cloaks, with such a profited adornment, with so many dirt...

There would be books just to open our minds, to stimulate the human intelligence, but not so as cover the truth for the mundane self-interests, nor extract the wrong ideas and spread them everywhere, nor blind the peopleīs faith...

Greetings to everybody. I hope you had a good week. I'm also glad that you posted your thoughts freely here, but let's remember first what was said last Saturday

Quoted from ""Artwork_es""

I think that to say "What you believe is right to you, and what i believe is right for me" is a good answer, because you do not only respect other people's beliefs, also you respect your own belief, yourself.

So that's all good :D

But unfortunately anybody can use that answer to his/her own purposes, for his/her own benefit. In other words, I can say that i'm right and you are right ONLY for you. I can say that the Bible is right, and what you think only is right for you, and you could say the same to me. Do you think now that this is really "respect"? This situation proves that nobody wants to be wrong, even when we are. That hurts, i understand it. We now are using the polite sentence: You and me are both right, and thus we avoid the truth that hurts. Other people use a shield too, when they say: The Catholic church is the Real church. That seems to be self-praising, isn't it?

To end these thoughts about false respects, it's a good thing to understand that I, in my case artwork_es, sometime is wrong too, and the preacher needs to be preached sometimes, that i'm not the only one in this forum, neither in this topic, that nobody is perfect...

And what I just said now only applies to me, or only applies to you?
If it happens for any person, you can trust it.

I mean that the Catholic church claims to be the real one, uses the Bible for her own benefit, and wants to hide things to the people... things written in the Bible as well, and details about the church itself. That's it in few words

I guess anybody can do it, anybody can manipulate the gospel, or anything found in the Bible, just like using a chair to hit somebody in the head.

But the catholic church has money and power to... make rules to trap people in, rules that they don't follow, and money surrounds them while loads of people die of hunger

The gospel is just what Jesus is, did and said in his life, He didn't just said some rules without giving us the example and the capacity to obey them

they are NOT rules, otherwise ADVICES. This is the point

EDIT: And those advices have been converted in RULES BY THE PEOPLE ACORDING TO THEIR INTERESTINGS

I know what are you trying to say, but there's even more. People (religious or not) can convert rules in advices as well, according to their interests. For that reason we need to be wise and learn to discern between rules and advices, and which ones are right and which aren't, without making the remedy worse than the illness

Well, RULES are only created by the PEOPLE. GOD has only tried to transmite ADVICES. But we have to understand that without the Evil any Good exists. This the key why we are able to do what we want. And making mistakes, we all increase our experience which help us to improve

If you believe in yourself, you can speak about that, because you know it better than me
If you believe in God, you can speak about God truly, because you know Him.
What's the point of saying things about God when you don't believe in Him?

The Bible tells us that God makes rules: Just in Genesis we can read about God ordered man his first job: Gardening, and the prohition of eating from a single concrete tree (all the rest was allowed) (Genesis 2. 15-17)

And there are more examples, but with this one is enough to understand that God's rules aren't as human advices
