Scooter producing a Soccer anthem

i always wondered why didnt scooter produce a soccer anthem all these years. is there any band that suiatable as scooter is? HP screaming GOOOAAAL and a melody wiyth pipes like the one in Im your pusher(witch i still think is a soccer tune, dunno why). their enthusiasm and dynamical sound are great for the job and it will be a complete success. i hate soccer but i think if scooter wanna have a hit, it could be something like this.

Don't like the idea tbh. Sounds really tacky. Most football songs are horrible. And do Scooter want to have a big hit or make some good music? Those two things aren't necessarily connected believe me.

i think scooter want to make big hits, not good music. so this is a good opportunity for them. and we still have good trance tracks in albums.

You said it yourself. How can any fan be happy with that? Really? :?

And just for the record - it's football. Not soccer.

No, no, no, no. Soccer is what Americans call Football so that they can distinguish between what they call American Football and what is actually called football. I get the feeling that when most non-British Europeans get taught English they are taught the American word "soccer" when in fact the proper word is "football". The game that you call "soccer" is the original "football" as first officially laid down by the English Football Association. Even today the world governing body of the game is called The Fédération Internationale de Football Association or in english, The Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA).

Then why didn't you ask to be on the concerned fans list in the S.O.S topic?

That's fair enough. I can't believe American English is taking over though. Before long everyone will be using words like diaper, mom, sidewalk and soccer. (> for those that had forgotten the proper words are nappy, mum, pavement and football )

Scooter missed their chance with Germany 2006, that would've been the best time to release something like this.

Europeans and major 'football' countries call it football. Countries such as the USA have Gridiron, but it's their type of 'football'. Australia has AFL (Australian Football League), and this is our type of 'football'. Just depends where you come from I guess...

True - but the difference is, in "Football" (what I know as Football) they spend 90 odd percent of the game using their feet, kicking the ball. Yet in AFL (Aussie Rules, as I know it), like Rugby, they use their hands more than their feet, don't they? In fact, in American Football do they use their feet to kick the ball at all?... if you can call it a ball. Most balls I know of are vaguely spherical.

therefore, all sports except chess are called football, we use our feet in all of them :P

soccer is the universal word for the rest of the world, just not in Europe...

(SA isn't a rugby state, thats NSW, VIC and QLD...)
