Sport

I'm interested if forum members are active in sport and in what way.We were doing a research with my mates some time ago and we found out that despite the fact that people are aware that healthy life makes life longer, many people don't do anything for their body, being fit and consequently, also spirit. :)

If I have possibility, I run every day for about 45-60 min, but when winter comes, I don't have will to go out and run in minus degrees. :?

Beside that, I do different exercises at home, I bought some fitness equipment so I don't need to visit fitness studio and pay high fees, like weights, etc...

But I would never eat steroids, proteins or other chem. substances that increase muscular mass and make us look like baloons.

I think that doing sport actively encourages self-esteem and makes us more confident when it comes to solving problematic situations. At least for myself.Anyone has the same experiences? 8)

I totally agree about sport being very good for us - something I only really discovered a few years ago. I suffer for varying degrees of depression (and have done so all my adult life), I have found that exercise is the best way to keep it under control and feel positive about myself and life :) I find exercise is also great for dealing with stress :)

I try to work out at the gym at least 2 or 3 times a week.

In the summer I love to row in my kayak - something I only started doing a couple of years ago - but I love it and try to do it every weekend during the summer months. The combination of peace and quite, being close to nature and the exercise is good for my mind, my body and my soul :D

I work out @ the gym usualy 3 to 4 times a week.

I lift weights, work on equipment and do cardio as well. Because of my shift work I am not able to play football or tennis as I could a couple of years ago. I like to decide for my own when to work out and when to rest. And I like to build up some muscles as well :), but I never used steroids or shit.

Seems not many forum members are active in sport.

I trained Badminton for 2 years while I was in primary school, but then switched to Karate for 6 years.Unfortunately, I didn't have time to train on, so I left everything and started training on my own.

I want to do more sports - I have a cool mountainbike, but when I ride it ATM, I get a terrible rash because of the excessive heat :( riding my bike is more or less the only sport I can do, I've been blessed with such f*cked legs, so I can not run for very long, or it hurts a lot... Riding my bike is my thing, and thankfully, there's a big forest very close to my mother's place

I can't imagine my life without sport. Since I was 8 I was playing football almost everyday and basketball very often. I even played in a local club. But I stopped in 2000 when I saw strongman competition. Since then I train in the gym. We have one in the basement. It cost us some money to make it serious gym but it was worth.
I exercise with my friend who is 5 years older. Thanks to his experience and knowledge he is very good trainer. He is famous for his killer training schedule so nobody wanted to train with him. Even I was after 2 years of training, It takes me some time to get the feel of it. I never eat steroids and any other shit. To build up body mass I comply special diet. In other words I can't eat what I want, I don't even remember hamburger taste.
I'm eating 7 times in a day and only products with high content of protein. So as you imagine not everything is very tasty. But with time I get the feel of it and I love this way of life. Results are the biggest recompense. Maybe I look like baloons a little but nobody tell me that in my face yet.
I don't play football like in the past, I also don't like running but I bought stationary bike so I can lose redundant fat at home and listening to loud music at the same time.
I think that human is very imperfect being, however it is possible to make it perfect or almost perfect. I will never understand people that do nothing with theirselves.
Respect for Sandra, Butcher and all the rest active in sport.

My 7th year in Badminton in 2007

When I move to Germany or USA (current decisions I am facing) I will probably join a Badminton Association and start training with them.
