[PRE] Let Me Be Your Valentine (Spectral Balance Remix)

Finally got around to try and remix this track and do my own interpretation of it. I'm done with the basics, and now i have to add more details and a work out a "main part" using more elements from the original, but reworked.

Not easy to convert this track to my style as it's completely different in many ways, but i think im going in the right direction with it and i like the sound, so far.

If you care, here's a sample.
http://www.nx6.org/media/624063229-scooter_-_let_me_be_your_valentine__spectral_balance_remix-pre.mp3

This is all live recorded so the arrangement is pretty random and will be different in the final version, which by the way should be done tomorrow.
Used elements from the original and the B-Side "Eternity". I'm sure you'll hear it if you're a long-time fan and remember these tracks :-)

Tell me what you think of it, or maybe you have some suggestions or ideas i should take into consideration for the final mix.
By the way, if you're into happy hardcore or something like that, this is not for you. If you like chilled out trance, then it's most definitely for you :-)

I wish i had some vocals!!

Hmmm it's really nice. Slow melody so that relaxes good, should help me after that horrible Portugal - Netherlands match. But there's one thing: It's called a remix of Let Me Be Your Valentine but I don't hear anything of this song. It's, like, a complete new track so I shouldn't use that name for it... Or the LMBYV part should be in the final release.

There are 3 references to LMBYV in this (short) sample :-)

Tell me, do you hear anything from "Move Your Ass", except for vocals, in the Mandala Remix, for example? Not really. The biggest reference would be lots of 303.

Do you hear anything from Friends in the Jeyenne Remix? Not really, except for vocals.

Thats the point of remixing. To make the track your own and do it with your own style. Atleast i kept some actual elements from the original intact however hard they may be to hear.

Take a listen near the end for example. The starting 303 in LMBYV is there, only not as a 303.

sounds strange. you have your own style, its relaxing and sounds clean. i hate sqaure synths but these are cool. 1:30 with almost no change. this means the track should be around 8 minutes, which is good, but if its shoreter you gotta make more changes during it.

im at 8:50 at the moment, outro not done, so ill end up at around 10:00, which is normal for me. Atleast with 131 BPM.

Thanks for your comment! Yeah that sample is kinda old, even in the final version there will be more variation.
