Blank&Jones back to Trance?

I was a big fan of Blank&Jones trance sound in past and i'm really happy that they produce trance again after all their chillout stuff. They release their new single CATCH at Kontor now and a Best of album with all Singles+Videos+Bonus stuff. Ok CATCH is only a remake from Kosheen - Catch and Ferry Corsten made already a nice trance version of this track before B&J. But in consideration of the fact that they only made very very few remakes so far it's acceptable for me. They did for sure better single tracks in past, but this is better for me like their neverending chill out stuff they made last years. Maybe they need some time after their chillout break to learn again how to produce old B&J trance.

I think i will buy DVD with all videoclips. I still love their old singles like Flying To The Moon, Cream, After Love, The Nightfly, Beyond Time, Desire, Watching The Waves, Mind Of The Wonderful, Perfect Silence... :wink:

I agree w/ most of the written above!
I think that Blank & Jones made some stunning trance stuff before they released "Relax". I´ve got the "Nightclubbing" and "DJ Culture" Albums and I like both.
I think I will buy there DVD :)

btw blank & jones released the "monument" in 2004 and that was trance too?! ;)

Did Blank & Jones abandon trance? It has been always some kind of trance. Exect for those two Relax-albums. And Revealed from Relax 2 had also trance-versions.
Waiting for albums from Way Out West, Sasha, Second Sun, Airwave, BT, Quivver, Pendulum, Solarstone, Röyksopp and Massive Attack

True! But i hope that they will find back to their old shape again. It's the same like with Scooter their best times they have already behind. :wink:

I don't like B&J very much. The only tracks of them, I like, are: Mind of Wonderful, Beyond Time and the Ron van den Beuken-Remix of A Forrest.

Btw, I love Trance very much, but more DuMonde-Style.

jo haben wohl sogar schon Blank&Jones Fans gecheckt das man bei Kontor den schlimmsten Kommerz weit und breit betreibt. Wie ich gesagt habe kaum bei Kontor gehts schon los mit Cover Single und Best of Album. Wahrscheinlich hat Kontor B&J wieder nen neuen Vertrag angeboten und damit mit denen gleich mal dick Kohle reinkommt hauen wir gleich ma n Best of raus.

Nach ihren letzten erfolgreichen Alben haben sich Piet Blank & Jaspa Jones auf Tour durch die USA begeben um dort musikalische Erfahrungen bei den, was elektronische Musik betrifft, noch eher "unberührten" Amerikanern zu sammeln. Seither war es eher still um die beiden, viele wünschen sie sich wieder nach Deutschland. Es wurde auch ein neues Album angekündigt und plötztlich wechseln die beiden wieder zu Deutschlands größtem Kommerzlabel- Kontor. Und plötztlich, obwohl sie niemals einen "alten Trancehit" neu auflegen wollten, kommt die neue Single "Catch", ein Kosheen Cover und eine Best Of CD, jetzt wo gerade sowieso Best Of Cds scheinbar in Mode sind, raus.
Find ich nicht gelungen, zumal jeder BJ-Fan, bzw jetzt evtl Ex-BJ-Fan schon alle Alben hat.
Es ist schon so, dass es momentan in der Trance-Scene nicht soo toll läuft, viele DJs wie zB Paul Van Dyl spielen auch neue Styles, aber mal eben zu Kontor zu wechseln um ein bisschen Geld zu machen und sowas zu produzieren, das macht es auch nicht besser.

Hmmm, mir gefaellt das Lied. ich finde das original von kosheen ein bisschen besser, aber der Track ist den umstaenden entsprechend gut gelungen...

wholuaghsnow, bitte oere mit dem staendigen kritisieren auf. Dein erster Post war sooo schoen normal :wink: Wir wissen jetzt dank dir dass Scooter, kontor und Blank und Jones unkreativ/Kommerziell sind und dabei koennen wir es ja belassen...

yeah it seems that commercial Kontor machine get them too... :? but no wonder Scooter are partial owners of Kontor and Jens Thele is boss. They have much experience with milking fan pockets multiple times with special releases and good marketing promotion at the right time...

anyone bought the new cd/dvd "the singles"?

I have got the blank & jones albums "dj culture", "substance" and "nightclubbing". do you think it is worth to by the new release as well? I won´t have any tracks twice, but I would like to see some new stuff.. and videos are great..

the only good thing for fan is video dvd with all videoclips...

DVD is worth for fan because videoclips, audio cd not but you can only buy the package, so i don't buy it.
