Hey, buddy! I've never heard about such problem of Vanguard. What version do you use?
Maybe, it's really delay or reverb (try to switch 'em off on Vanguard's panel)...or there is too big value of release faders. But I don't think that almost all sounds of standard bank have such parameters...
