the thing is drugs and drink is self harm to ones self.... child pornography is harm to the child THATS THE DIFFERENCE i'm a mum and i tell you now if it is glitters song there is no way i will support it...

and i say IF.. because i hold hope that its a new fresh original track

I read a German biography about this guy and now i can understand why uk people so shocked about him. There is written that vinyl industry removed his records from record stores. Yellow-Press called him public enemy nr1. But there is also written that Martin Gore from Depeche Mode cherished Glitter until today. I think he meant his music otherwise he's really sick for me. If Scooter did it they definitely shoot a own goal. But if it's true i don't have any mercy with them. But let us hope we are wrong with Glitter, even if it's very supposably.

Quoted

I'll definately buy the single regardless of whether it's a cover or not. I support Scooter and the music they choose to produce.

As for the Gary Glitter thing, I'm not concerned about who he is or what he did. If Scooter thinks that they can cover his song, then so be it. It'll probably be a big deal in the UK but maybe not as much in other places. I'm sure the song will be great regardless.

As a matter of fact I never heard any original tracks, before Scooter covered them.
Only later when I knew Scooter covered someone,I searched and heard the original.
So,for me Scooter's version is the first version of song I hear. And usually it's better than original, that what I like in Scooter.
I don't think many people outside UK heard about that Glittter guy.And the way things are going for Scooter in UK now,it won't do much damage, since Scooter aren't doing so well anyway over there.

I have to disagree with you there, i think it would do a lot of damage, it would probally distroy any hope that is left of Scooter having another hit in the UK.

That doesnt mean that i wont buy the single BTW.

I do agree with you on the first but of your post, usuall i have never heard the origional track that has been covered so it doesnt really bother me.

I never did completely understand UK's taste in music,at least now.
For example America is hooked on rap and hip-hopand they also have some country music that sells good, but what UK's music taste right now?

There is a huge Hip Hop scene in the UK at the moment and also indie rock bands like The Killers, Franz Ferdanand, Razorlight, The Strokers, The Red Hot Chilli Peppers that sort of thing.

The UK, musically, is dominated by rock and, mainly, indie. If you do a poll about music taste in any major UK student/"young persons" forum you'd find that a huge (over-whelming) majority vote for rock and indie.

Bands such as The Killer, Radiohead, Razorlight, Muse, Red Hot Chilli Peopers, Kasabian (who i actually quite like  ), Kaiser Chiefs, Franz Ferdinand, Greenday etc. (Like Bond007 said...) :)

I'm sure it will be a cover, though there is always hope...
I checked google and I found a song from Natalie Cole with this name. The lyrics are quite sappy, I hope it won't be another HPV stuff Razz Or else, I hope it will be some BLAST! Very Happy
