I don't think that they work longer on new single as usually. H.P. said already in March at "National Club Industry Association of America Interview" that they have a brand new single ready for the summer. If they produce a single they finish the track and then months elapse until they release the single finally. Maybe they do some few editing short before release, but don't think they work a long time just on 1 qualitative single.

Personally I think it would be better if they first finish the whole album and after it they should decide for singles from album. So they could present their best track from album as first single.

The interview was from March already? And the single was finished at this time? I didn't knew that, I just thought that they were working on new material at this time. That's interesting. But some time ago it didn't take so much time between end of production and release, I remember "Ramp" it took just a few weeks. I'm wondering why they wait so long with the release.

I don't know somehow things went strange at all in 3rd chapter. The band developed from a music making friends band to a business music friends band. They split up private time and Scooter almost completely now. Jay is Djing a lot private, H.P. is busy with media, interviews with his girlfriend, doing fashion model and such abnormal things and so on. The only one which is still completely concentrated on Scooter music and producing is Rick. Sometimes it seems to me that they are only doing what is abolutely necessary to release a scooter album now, but not more like projects(Ratty) or some bonus tracks for example.

They made more jokes about themselves and laughed so much times together. It was more a familiar atmosphere with Ferris and Axel. Today some things act so sterile if they giving interviews. They are also friends i know, but it's more like a business friendship with Scooter. Everybody is doing his own thing now. I think they are not so much times together in studio to work on new material like in chapter1&2.

Somehow it isn't the same for me and i'm glad that i recorded so much interviews and videos at past. It's amazing if you could watch old scenes from the good old times. Maybe it will never be like this again?

I mean such scenes with more funny and familiar atmosphere in past:

Of course i don't know what's going on behinde closed doors. But i observed Scooter since beginning and something isn't the same anymore. It's not illusion or speculation that Jay can't decide if he's regular DJ or regular Scooter production member at first line. And if he's Djing he can't be at studio for producing at same time. It's not illusion that H.P. is doing more and more external, private things like model photos, tv-shows, interviews with his girlfriend, escort girfriend to photo shootings... It's no illusion that they didn't continue with Ratty(only 1 remix) or a new project beside Scooter until today. And why not? The logical answer >Cause they don't spend so much time for producing anymore. You can't expect that they always produce something beside Scooter, but they did with Axel and that's a sign that members worked more intensive this time.

And how should they work intensive on new album if they are go to vacation during production period and Djing for fun at Mallorca or playing at festivals during production? Ok they are taking a break, that's ok but then they shouldn't say we are so stressed because of production and spended complete 8 month in studio for this album at the end. In past you didn't see Scooter so much in public/press during production like today. Sometimes I think the only one really works a lot time at studio is Rick. Maybe I'm wrong, but H.P. and Jay are to much on the road with private things for my taste. I can't change it, it's their decision but they simply spended more time for Scooter and common studiowork together in past. If i'm wrong and they are still working so time-consuming like in past H.P. and Jay couldn't do so much other things beside Scooter during production period.

And i don't want convince anyone that he must think the same. that's just my view of things.

PitchShifter

I hope you won't be mad about this, I don't want a fight.

I just want to say that maybe you are right about the work.
Maybe they worked more in the past. I don't know that.
I don't know if they work more or less now, but I can say that it's POSSIBLE and PLAUSIBLE that they work less now.

That's OK about it. Nothing to say.

About Rick, Yes I think it's true: Rick must be the one who works more.
I don't know, but I say it's allmost certain.

That's OK about it too. Nothing to say.

What I wanted to say is about that environment.
You say that is more serious now... Less laugh... less funny.

Well In that opinion of yours I must disagree.
I don't think that with Jay Frog things are going "serious".
Have you listen the Radio 538 Interview a few months ago?
It's only one example.
In that aspect I just think that nothing have changed.

You for sure allready know that I'm a big Fan of Jay Frog.
But that's not about that now. REALLY!
I think they are funny like ever! Nothing changed!

Look, I don't want to see again people calling names each other.
I'm just disagreeing with you in one unique aspect about that post you wrote.

I think that's a good way to talk. No Offense. Just Opinions!

in reply to the above posts, there are many dj/producers out there who make VERY good productions, while still maintaining gigs around the world...many of the trance djs I admire: m.i.k.e., alex morph, armin van buuren, markus shulz, above & beyond, sasha...I could go on, all of them make quality productions, but also have the time to do numerous gigs.
i think therefore that Jay Frog has a right to pursue dj-ing if thats what he wants to do, and if I was in H.P.'s position, sure I'd enjoy the fame, he's worked hard for it.
Endless time in the studio doesn't necessarily mean that there will be more quality productions. In the same way that authors can get writer's block, and painters lose insperation for a while, so can a band have a time of re-thinking themselves.
What I am trying to say is, whatever appears to be happening, don't write them off just yet. take it as it comes guys. 8)

Maybe the single si finished and they are working on the new album very hard- it isn't enough to have a good single- a good album must follow one or two months later and I think the single is nearly finished, but they have to finish the album!

I don't understand you guys.
From one side you say, come on we want the album, single now.
From the other side you say you would prefer not hearing from them for like 2 years, just as long as they produce own original stuff and no covers.
So make up your mind.
So maybe they will take an average of one year break and they will pursue all their non-Scooter interests and then they will come with more power and will to invest into Scooter.
Maybe for now working in a studio is boring for them,it's summer,it's hot, people are partying,so why not make some PR with Jay's DJing in Mallorca,so all the people will get remind of Scooter before new album, and HP with TV the same, its vacation, people watch more TV,so they see HP,and maybe then they will buy more because they will remember Scooter from the summer activities such as festivals and TV shows.

Huh??? Now I'm a bit confused... I'll try to explain it for you and me :D
Scooter always say in interviews that the single is already finished. If it is so, I want to hear it! But I have the fear that they got too much "inspiration" from other songs. So I wouldn't mind if they take more time for more own inspiration and producing. Now it takes a very long time until they release the single and some time more until the album will be released. But we don't see Scooter working. We see them doing some freetime stuff. So this leads us to the questions: Do they need a break? Is is nessesary for a good production? Will the album be better than MTG (more own ideas)? Are they working or just having fun? Is Scooter still improtant to them? Do they collect inspiration during this time or will they produce after their holidays the album in a time of two weeks (uuu - bad english hope you understand)? And the possible answers of these questions can make the problems or a point to critizise them. But as long nothing is released it is just some fears from me no problems. Hope you understand.

ohhhh guys. i cant believe ..... that this forum became soooo boring.
all the guys tell evry post nearly the same. pitch shifters posts are repeating like a wrecked record. and there are no facts in sight of a new single.

i dont care, i can wait. but i cant understand what happend with one of my favorite forums? not much new to read here. and what i read makes me very tired of writting something. i like much of you, posse.

but i think our own creativity is actually on a same level like scooters creativity in the past. hope it will change soon :-) and i hope the feeling of our forum will be back soon. NO fights, NO repeating posts of things, we knew years ago and NO stupid new members where are acting like apes.

THATS what i want. and THATs what i hope for us all :-)

i actually are a bit stressed. i make my driving licence. and are busy with some dialog issues on the fan project "day of the tentacle 2", cause we will release a demoversion soon. and in the summer months we have uncountable birthday partys. nearly evry weekend a party.

MAN i cant tell you how many i have drunken in the last weeks *laugh*.
sometimes i take a look in this forum. but what i say is nearly evrytim the same: boring topics, a repeating pitchshifter, him follows a angry spock, some new guys where post absolutely shit. and so on :-)

the only thing i really like to know, if this new contest of how much is the fish remix will work fine. if i can still join - i will do so. but such topics like "possible selements scooter had stolen in their song fire" are really stupid. if you look correct you will find nearly no song of scooter, without stolen elements.

but i dont really care about. and if pitchshifter are so much caring about this, he is not really a true fan of scooter. and he better should find another forum. cause it just stresses the people and i cant find any sense of it.

Yes and people which critize that i repeat myself all the time write again and again that i repeat myself all the time instead of objective arguments.

From now on I will stop to post any news, videos, audio interviews, new pictures on this forum furthermore cause I don't want repeat myself anymore!

Und Tranceforce ich finde es schon etwas unpassend wenn du mir unterstellst ich wäre kein Scooterfan, aber selbst nicht mal alle Stücke von ihnen kennst.

Yeah, Pitchshifter is so so boring. This forum would be better without him and we could go back to the days of a forum full of great posts like "Isn't Scooter's new single fantastic?" and "Scooter rule 4ever". We don't want any discussion or debate... or differing views. This forum is only for people with the same opinion and exists only so we can praise Scooter and their perfect works...

Come on, ppl. Cut Pitchshifter some slack. You make him sound like the next developer. A moaning spammer who does nothing but complain about Scooter. No, he's not.... this guy has a brain, and what's more a brain of his own. So he's concerned about Scooter, a band he loves. He doesn't like everything he see from them at the moment. For God's sake, let him exercise his right of free speech. A diversity of opinion can only serve to make this forum more interesting and not more boring!! Pitchshifter is just trying to stimulate some contructive debate, but you guys just twist it into an argument and make him seem like the bad guy.

Dave, i was very sad to read your post... "Get lost". That's not very nice, is it? If you were boring and repetitive would you like it if someone told you to get lost?
