@ pjad_uk

since ramp! it went down. Most of the people don't know it but in september 2001 a project called 'solid solution' (later sonic solutions) reached #1 in belgium with 'the logical song'. it was kinda a jump-style record that sounds much better than ramp! Scooter just stole the idea of covering the logical song. the only reason why the scooter version reaches more countries is because their name was in most of the countries already made and solid solution just started.
that's why it makes me sad that new fans just praise the band for what they have done the last years. In my opinion the latest good scootersingle was posse cause it sounds fresh, stolen lyrics and melodies or not.

Yeah I've got the Logical Song version of Solid Solution. I think it's the same like with Weekend, there was a guy called Kid Q. He released before Scooter a house version of Weekend from Earth & Fire which was called This Feeling. They said Scooter stolen the idea from him and covered also Weekend. After this H.P. said it was by chance that they had this idea at the same time. He heard Weekend from Earth & Fire in radio, but how much times he said this already if someone ask him about idea? I don't believe him anymore, i think they heard version from Kid Q which was already released on vinyl 2002 and had a very good club reaction and stolen the idea to cover Weekend and released 2003 a own cover version of Weekend.

And the vinyl This Feeling was released 28. November 2002 on DMD Discomania. You should know that Jay worked in past for Discomania and have still good connections to them. I'm sure he heard This Feeling vinyl from Kid Q and so they got the idea to cover Weekend too.

The guitar-riff in Fire is very very similiar that is found in SNES-game Super Punch Out's Nick Bruiser's theme (last opponent), the game was released in 1994

But in the case of guitar-riffs, it's nearly impossible to make track that doesn't sound bit same with some other song.
Waiting for albums from Way Out West, Sasha, Second Sun, Airwave, BT, Quivver, Pendulum, Solarstone, Röyksopp and Massive Attack

PLEASE SCOOTER, IF ONE OF YOU READS THIS TOPIC, PLEASE TELL US IF WE ARE RIGHT AND HOW THE NEW SINGLE WILL BE. I UNDERSTAND THAT YOU HAVE NOT ENOUGH TIME TO ANSWER ALL THE QUESTIONS BUT YOU COULD GIVE AN ANSWER TO THE MOST INTERESTING QUESTIONS AND STOP THOSE SPECULATIONS! IT IS EVEN GOOD FOR YOU IF THERE ISN'T A BAD MOOD BEFORE A SINGLE RELEASE.

Stop spamming! You make 3 ´posts in 3 minutes and write 100% S##t! Nothing of your news is super new! Look at my posts, they have quality! They are super new! But yours aren't! They super suck!

   It's so ridiculous !

It can't take so long....

That's the problem as far as i can see... it doesn't take as long as it should take.

I use this example all the time but look at Bomfunk MC's. They've been in the business for 6 years now (since 1999)... in that time they've done 3 albums. Not 5 or 6.... 3. Why? Because they take their time. They experiment... they compose... they bounce idea of each other. Making an album becomes a meticulous process and the final product is a record unique to the band rather than a "remixes compilation" with the band's name on it...

Ok, if you hate Bomfunk enough to ignore my example, look at Röyksopp. Melody A.M. (which is widely regarded as one of the greatest electronic chillout albums EVER released) was released in 2002. The new album, The Understanding, only came out this year (2005!).

Now you may much prefer Scooter's music to Bomfunk's or Röyksopp's ... You may believe that Scooter are a bigger name than Bomfunk MC's or Röyksopp. You may say that these 3 bands are totally different... you'd be right. But i would argue that Norway's maters of chillout and Finland's kings of funk and electro command a lot more respect from the music industry than Germany's champions of Stadium Techno... why? ... you know why!

:!:

Weekend, One, Jigga Jigga, The Night, Maria... they're all fantastic tracks but they're not 100% Scooter... not in the same way that Freestyler or Live Your Life are 100% Bomfunk... or that Eple or Triumphant are 100% Röyksopp.

Yes I know what you mean! You're right. Another example is Rammstein: They make as long music as Scooter but produced "just" 4 Albums but it is 100% Rammstein, just their own creativity (except of a few songs).

Scooter are working nearly over a half year on their "super surprising single" so it must be something better than the last ones. But we all have the fear that it is produced like the last singles.
As Pitchshifter said before, Scooter became unimported and a source for money for the members.
But the long time we have to wait makes me hope that the next work will be more qualitative!
Side by side we are the dangerous crew!

OK let's change this conversation.
Can anyone resume in 4 or 5 sentences
what we have confirmed and what are possible rumors
about the next single and the next album?

I don't think that they work longer on new single as usually. H.P. said already in March at "National Club Industry Association of America Interview" that they have a brand new single ready for the summer. If they produce a single they finish the track and then months elapse until they release the single finally. Maybe they do some few editing short before release, but don't think they work a long time just on 1 qualitative single.

Personally I think it would be better if they first finish the whole album and after it they should decide for singles from album. So they could present their best track from album as first single.

In my eyes WATCH OUT has no real melody- the first part consists only of bass and the second after the "Watch oooouuuut"-Voice is combined with Happy Hardcore sound (like in ramp!)

I've forgotten a lot of tracks: Aiii shot the DJ, Stuttgart, Zebras crossing the street, The First Time...

By the way: Scooter often use samples of old videogames (that's not bad), for example: - Are you happy? (Comodore 64-sample)
-Level One (cover of Factor 5's soundspecialist, Factor 5 is the studio producing Star Wars games like Rogue Leader (GameCube, N64, PC)
-Soultrain (not a direct sample but perhaps inspired by "Pendrana Drifts" in Metroid Prime, it makes me at least always think of a beautiful icelevel)

That's easy :D : Nothing is confirmed! And that's the problem. One word from Scooter can stop this conversations... But we just get news about a surprising single which is already finished but nobody knows how it sounds. Maybe Scooter themselves don't know it...

We get news about H.P.'s girlfriend, about model career from H.P. about Djing at Mallorca but no news about Scooters progress of production. It seems to me that production isn't overriding anymore?
