Thanks - we knew he was ill, but we expected him to live for a few more months at least. He was in hospital for more tests and he suddenly died

It was sad to hear, hope you and your family will be ok... :(

It's always sad when someone in your family dies.
My grandpa died a few days into 2007, on the hospital, and all of us had a sad time.
I'm still sad when I think of it, but life goes on.

Just stay strong

Sandra, that is truly horrible news and I'm very sorry for you, and your family. I know it comes as little consolation but from what I've read in this thread recently, he's not been very well and it sounded to me like he was suffering, which he isn't anymore. It's sad and a horrible day for you, with a few more lying ahead. I wish you all the best and hope you surround yourself with people, let all your emotions out together, it's at times like these you need your family around you. And friends too, there's not a single person on this forum who wouldn't line up to console you, we're all here and all willing to help you in any way you might need us to.

Also, thank you for the kind words, fellow Ninja. I appreciate you taking the team to listen to my problems and offer advice. Never give up hope either my man, for all ladies need a man, and vice versa.

Thanks Fannie.

Life can be so unpredicatable - it was my Mum who was in hospital for about 8 weeks earlier in the year, and a few times I thought she would not be with us much longer, but she recovered enough thankfully to go home (although she cannot look after herself).

Dad was reasonably ok until 4 weeks ago, last week the doctor said he probably had cancer, and would live for anything between a few weeks and a year, he went into hospital so they could do more tests, and relieve some of his symptoms, and a week later he died :( . I guess at least he is at peace and not suffering, and only suffered a short illness - rather than gradually getting worse over the next few weeks or months.

That's a sad story Sandra :?

But you are right, you have to think he has no pain and suffering anymore, and he's at peace now
(that's at least what I thought at back then...)

It's always hard for the people that are left behind :(
but, the way you have written about your family in the past, I'm sure you support each other very well

Take care....

And I forget about Will

My condolences for you too, I'm very sorry you lost your granddad

You take care too

my life just generally sucks right now. i can't be bothered with work, life etc.

i wish i could move away- i wish i chose a uni away from home now- too much going on in my life right now to care about petty things which people always bring up.

i just wanna curl up and sleep. the only salvation i have at the moment is my friends.
