Quoted

I won't take the vaccination even if I could get it, the vaccination is according to some experts also not entirely safe........
Care to elaborate on that? I have witnessed a women in the United States who received the vaccination formula, only to then subsequently suffer from a now incurable neurological disorder that renders her incapable of walking and utilizing speech.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F1Ud5ccqEhA

Any other examples that will enable you to substantiate that?

I heared a few doctors talking about the vaccination on a German new programm, and they discussed that last time there was a vaccination taken by people to avoid the disease, there were many neurological complications and other health problems derived from the vaccination. This time in order to be able to get the vaccination as soon as possible aviable, some test were skipped, that normally have to be done befor a vaccination comes on the "market". One doctor said they did some test themselves on rats and mice, and it looked like the vaccination could indeed be possible dangerous for ones health. He said that he wouldn't give the vaccination to his daughter.
Also in The Netherlands some organisations are spreading flyers, in which is described that one should refrain of getting vaccinated, and they have written down several reasons why one should refrain.
After reading and hearing all this I came to the conclusion, that both, the virus and the vaccination could be a possible hazard for ones health. So it's the question whats the biggest hazard, the virus or the vaccination..... I myself am a healthy person and hardly have the flu at all during the year, and when I have it it's over within 1 day. I heared that healthy person shouldnt really have a big problem with the Swineflu....so therefor I think I will take the risk and not get me vaccinated, because I consider that to be the best choice for now. But ofcourse I might be wrong, my opinion is underlined by what I read and heard about the virus. Also I'm working in a rather small office, whit only 3 staff members, so the risk to get the flu at work is far less than for people that work in an office whit hundreds of workers.

I think it's perfectly reasonable to resist vaccination on the grounds of some personal scepticism toward its efficacy, but this then runs the risk of convincing those otherwise unaware of its safety to forgo inoculation. We saw this perfectly illustrated by the MMR jab scare, which now the majority of medical health care professionals see to be a complete fabrication. In other words, there is no verifiable science undergirding these widespread anxieties. Of course, scientists by their very nature are argumentative; leading inexorably to the inevitability that there will always be experts fuelling the conflagration on either side. Perhaps it's the dissension itself that has put a large quantity of people off? It's challenging to evaluate something to which the majority of us lack the expertise in, so we naturally put our trust in whatever our mainstream media outlet tells us. This is a predicament that I don't see being solved any time in the near future, unless, of course, we all entitled to the wondrous molecular leaps in the biotechnology revolution. Unfortunately, this is unlikely.

I'm pretty sure that I'll be fine without the vaccination. I'm not particularity the most healthy person, but I keep my distance from the public as much as possible. I'm always prioritizing my hygiene to avoid picking up any stray virions on whatever surface, and as ridiculous as this sounds, I automatically regulate my breathing when I hear someone violently cough. If it does become virulent enough so far as to precipitate the bacterial reaction I refereed to earlier, I'd be committing a crime against humanity if I didn't receive the vaccine. But, until then, I can say with some rather loose certitude that I should emerge from it all unscathed. Although Influenza is not comparable to the measles virus (concentrated vaccination would eliminate that like smallpox, as you probably know), it still wouldn't hurt to consider vaccination when it becomes absolutely necessary.

My mom has decided that my sister and I WILL take the vaccine - in order to prevent dying of the swine flu, or whatever...

I read today that a 9 year old girl who died recently here in Norway, had the swine flu - they have found out.
There's very many young healthy people dying of it here ?(
I guess it's the fear of that who makes my mom forcing us to take the vaccine...

I got catched by the police and had to pay 25 euros fine... :(

Have you driven too fast through town ?

there's no speed limit for bicycles...

driving on the wrong side + driving without light = 25 euros fine

I don't care...

When you drive faster than 30km/h you can get a fine, even on the bycycle I recon. I got once a fine in Leer near the Ubbo Emmius School :D

I do this as well. Actually a few people I know do this. Better to be safe than sorry!
I hardly ever get sick either. I'm not saying I'm a particularly healthy person but I am hygienic. Because I work in the food industry I am constantly washing my hands in and out of work which would prevent germs a little more. And whenever I do get a cold I just stay in bed and take some cold and flu tablets and I feel better the next day!

I had flu last week - don't know if it was H1N1 or just normal flu - but I was off work most of the week, and felt pretty awful. I am back at work today but still don't feel completely normal, and not enjoying food at all (which is not like me)

In Hungary most of people don't need vaccine, 'cause they think it's unnecessary.
Me too, but some people died here in swine flu.

I don't think H1N1 is worse than normal flu, but I think there will always be some people who will die of this and normal flu. I am not concerned about a vacination for it because it does not seem to be serious in the people I know who have had it. I think maybe the vacination is most important for people with other health problems that could make the flu more serious for them

Yeah - I think the main reason for my mom's choice, is that very many healthy kids/youngsters has died of it here in Norway ?(
11, I think - latest a 9 year old girl. They found traces of the swine flu in her body after she died.
