What's up with new album from Darude? I really wish to hear new stuff from him. His sound and style is unique.

Latest info:

Some new stuff is played in his sets (Salmiakki Sessions)

We already know the sound of "Label This". It is some kind of mixture between finnish trance sound and Andy Moor. Some kind of progressive trance. Not the most commercial stuff.
Waiting for albums from Way Out West, Sasha, Second Sun, Airwave, BT, Quivver, Pendulum, Solarstone, Röyksopp and Massive Attack

Turning his back on the commercial scene, hey? That's interesting. And there hasn't been a Darude album since 2003. That means he's been working on new material for around 3 years. Scooter - take note.

He can also have problems with release, it's not so easy anymore like in past to release dance/trance/techno albums. But Scooter will never spend several years for creative work like other artists... Every month/year without releases would be a lot of lost money for them.

Nah Darude won't have a problems. Co-producers of the album are Jaakko Salovaara & Heikki Liimatainen and Jaakko Salovaara has his own record company. So it will be released when it's ready.

I don't think Darude would be who he is now if it wasn't for Jaako Salovaara. He helped Darude a lot in the beginning, and he probably still does.

He helps a lot of people. In fact, anyone he's worked with might aswell rename themselves "artist's name" vs. JS16. If you catch my drift.

Jaakko Salovaara has a lot of work with Dallas Superstars now so does he have any time for anything else?

It was year 1999 when he produced JS16 album, Bomfunk Mc's album and begun producing Darude album with Ville Virtanen. And of course countless remixes. So situation is not one of a kind.

Di you even read topic before

I said it will be Andy Moorish (probably with finnish influences) progressive trance and far more uncommercial than his previous work.

what scooter didn't do all last years!
taking time for creative, own music development... that what you should do if you call yourself band or musician.
and not release as much as possible as fast as possible to collect much possible money from fans with fast&easy made, uncreative cover/rip off tracks.

own music/tracks need time instead of copying tracks from other people.

After Rush in 2003 he has made gigs all over the world (especially in USA) and then produced new album for 1,5 years.
