About members being active...

So...

I noticed that we have 1041 members and only 20-30 are active. It's always the same members...what's the point of registering if you don't say anything?

C'mon crew! TALK! BE ACTIVE! AIII!

A lot of people will register while they are browsing the web or something and then either forget about it or decide they don't want to go on the forum much. I think many forums are like this.

if you see trance-addict forum, you'll always see dozens of names which not repeat day by day.
Here maybe people thought that the registration might give access to some restricted stuff only for members,so they signed in,who knows... :?

That's true, there are many forums where I'm on and situation is always the same. You just can't help that. But I think that with time new members are coming.

But I think there are some more members active than just 30, I would say at least 40-50

Every forum is like this, its just what happens.
Some people would only register here to keep up with news, or got sick of this place awhile ago, or were scared of by...certain...members...

not mentioning names or anything... nah its hard to integrate yourself with any group of people who all (sort of ) know each other. on the bright side there are new people posting more often...

Yeah, and besides, forums with hundreds of active posters really suck.
This forum is about the right size to know everyone fairly well...anyone ever been to a really really big forum and tried posting...argh, it just feels weird.
This place is good how it is, if there were too many people it would not be the same.

Many people sign up because they see a topic they want to chip in on. Sometimes when that conversation stops, they just leave. It's normal.

I, however, like it here. I think I'll stay for a bit.

Thats Bullshit! Aii don't need Members who don't want to post! Then we would have just more Spam! The quality without these members as posters is good enough!

Of course it would be great to have more active members, but on the other hand.. You get to know the once in here on a more personal level, and I kind of like that.. :-)

I don't really care about "activity". People with 2000 or 100 posts can be the same good fellows :)
Maybe it's better to have around 50 ppl here instead of 1000.
In this way, everyone knows each other, and we are just like a small family from around the world :)

Maybe it could be nice if some more people told their opinions here. But it's true that the discusson is better when only a limited number of people participate it.
