Monday in Germany is "Allerheiligen". It's a Celebrate Day(heißt das so?) (Feiertag).
But the day is not in whole Germany I think only in some parts.

Primary schools and gimnasiums have whole week of vacations, but no universities or jobs.We have 4 week vacations in whole school year, so they placed them somewhere and so that week was one of chosen...
Luckily I'm last year in gimnasium so I have vacations.
