ttk is right in this way... being a fan doesn't mean that you are fanatically say that SCOOTER RULEZ and buying all CDs and bragging with their rare stuff. Being a fan means caring about your idol... imagine if Scooter decided to switch to disco style. It would be obvious that it means a turn to death. Would you accept it without raising your voice against it?!
I didn't like Shake That. It was much more commercial than their former tracks. Now that I saw Mind The Gap won't be a disco album, I calmed down a bit :) But I'm still worried about their future.

I would've said something, but for now they only make experiments with styles, this is a part of developing, and not standing on one spot with this hard sound or this pitched voice. So you don't have to go and shout stop it.
They try new ideas, new sounds.Like you could hear in AOL the same sound that you later heard in No Fate.Or Fire, that later was also in The Revolution.

I hear ya, but you have to admit that there are some people here who will always support scooter no matter what they release.
You can tell yourself you dont mind covers, that they make them better and that everyone else is doing them anyway, but what you have to ask yourself is what you would perfer: A cover where scooter basically take the main tune and chorus and chuck in some lyrics or a completly original track.
You know what you would perfer! You dont have to say that you hate scooter covers, but if you all make it clear that we would perfer original tracks then maybe they will listen.
Peace.

There's nothing wrong with saying my opinion, even if I call someone an idiot. You shouldn't care.

That's rude and uncalled for. And I am sure the moderators care, as well as everyone who interacts here. I am not calling you names for saying very negative and unneccesary things. Have some class and show some respect for the other people who interact with you.
shoot-outs go out to the following: Hayden, Aurimas, Patty G (good music), Scooter, Dj Metazero, Brink-of-time, Djcaster, DJ gokey, and all fans of Techno and Rock.

All you, "real fans", should maybe think about what fan means. It's not to be part of a religion. You're almost fanatic!

I'm not fanatic,in fact besides scooter I have another 2000 songs from Aerosmith,Scorpions,No Doubt,Sash,ATB,Robbie Williams,Madonna,Roxette,Elton John,George Michael, I don't have the power to elaborate all the rest, just see the point that I'm not a scooter fanatic,I just like their music, there's almost no song of theirs that I don't like, don't know why,but it is so,so for me it is one more song to the collection, but yes Scooter is one of the first bands/music I heard,so maybe it is my so-called weakness, not a fanaticm or whatever you call it.

Hey, Punch:

If I am rude, then you are mean and evil. Don't cry now, it's the truth.

And I'm pretty sure that not everybody cares, and if I say unneccesary and negative things... wait a minute.. You're calling me rude!
I'm deeply offended. Apologize! And show some respect.

Yes they cover, sample and rip stuff off all the time, but so does every other dance act going. Most if not all of the big dance anthems are covers, ripoffs or big samplers. Although I admit it's gotten out of hand with TSTE (10 covers/ripoffs etc. out of 12 tunes, many of them blatant) and Shake That (even more blatant). Always Hardcore is the next one (true to form) but they're still great tunes. And that's what matters.

Sorry Imre...you are wrong!
Ultra Sonic (a Techno Act from Uk) produced a Track with "Hyper-Hyper" Shouts one year before Scooter released "Hyper! Hyper!"....it was also a covered Version!
The first Single from Scooter was "ValLee des Larmes" and it was 100% without shouts and Trance...Scooter was planed as a Trance Act...just because of Ultra Sonic, they began 2 shout!
Thats the Truth...we all have 2 know that!

Vallee de Larmes was a remix of a Dutch house track. (same name)

AFAIK the only 100% original singles are Friends, Fire, Fuck the Millennium and She's the Sun.
We started in 1994....in 2012 we're still on the case!!!

damn, you are all so f***ing childish. Stop arguing, if you dont like Scooter music, then go and f**k yourself, i dont give a damn, if scooter makes disco music or ripp off's. Scooter knows that they produce rip offs and they are happy about it, because it brings a lot of money - we all love money!!! Scooter has been so succesful and still are, so your opinion are not need here! if you dont like it then shut up, there is no need to spamm the forum with f***ing comments.

i love scooter and like their music, dont care the style or ripp offs
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice!

Yes it's normal to rip stuff sometimes. But Scooter do it almost at every single!!!

Some parts of Fuck the Millenium are also rip-offs!!!

Melody at single version is taken from:

Billy Vaughn - Wheels

If you don't believe it listen:

http://www.bmg.de/bmg/productdetails.do?Kuenstler_Nr=10771

And other part sounds very similar to Mauro Picotto - Iguana

I love Fuck the Millenium anyway! But it's also a rip-off...

ice8:

You're one of those fanatics.
Getting angry just because some people, who also like Scooter, complains about that they have lost their creativity.

To say that you like all Scooter-songs, just because it's Scooter, is the first step on the road of the fanatics. I hope you'll be saved in time.

And don't curse! That's inappropiate!

I think that these are no rip-off singles: (except some short samples or lyrics)

- Hyper Hyper

- Move your Ass

- Friends

- Endless Summer

- Let me be your Valentine

- Break it up (music and words by Nosie Katzmann, but Scooter produced the track with Synthesizer sounds and H.P.'s voice)

- Fire

- Faster Harder Scooter

- Posse

- Aiii shot the DJ

- She's the Sun

but all other singles are rip-offs or cover versions.

Yes their sound and their versions are still great!

But it's horrifying how much Scooter ripped until today! And that's just singles!

11 own singles (not sure)

and

17 covers/rip offs (sure) with Vallee de Larmes 18

Posse have music from 2 KLF tracks. :? I can't said that this is short samples. Only one is short, but second is all "background" music in Posse
(this music, when H.P. singing)... :(

Yes I like other musicians too.I don't listen only to Scooter of course, I haven't listened to Scooter for about a month now, because I listen other music momentary.
And I like almost all the songs of Scooter, with exception of She's the sun and Sex Dwarf. And about instrumental songs and remixes-I don't listen them many times.
My goal is also not to get all Scooter CD's and singles, they are just one of artists I listen to.They are momentar the best for me, but there wouldn't be anything wrong if that change one day and some other day maybe they will still be the best for me.

This were just some explanations about some discussions in some topics with some members.....

And that's the reason why I'm raging here all time.

I can't believe that they will release again a cover after Shake That! It's not official but I'm almost sure that they release One(Always Hardcore) as single.

I was thinking better, I can understand you, because you maybe have more higher "looks" to Scooter(you want them to be more on their own, to not make covers), but what if this is one of their decisions to make covers.
As far as I know they didn't say anywhere they DON'T make covers, but they just do them.Maybe that's what they want.
In our country there is one well known band, which loudly said they make only covers and they do that, but they are still very popular.Maybe Scooter is the same just they don't let us know that.

You understood me exactly!

But then they should call themselves Cover-Team and not Band. :D

H.P. said in past often that people make too much cover versions and our generation shouldn't cover all tracks from the 80's. Strange that he said this in past and Scooter do it until today by themselves.

And Shake That was a 70's cover! What's next? Tracks from the 60's?
