How Did We get from this to THIS?

3rd Chapter: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z6zbXojT5jE

to

4th Chapter: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ynaqGxSlpFE

For all you fans of the 4th chapter. Can you seriously sit there and say this is good music?

Scooter went from semi-serious and brilliant musicians to THIS.

Soak that in for a second...

It pains most at all that 4th chapter is just a big collection of VST synth presets sounds like Nexus and different sample packs anymore
just listen to both links posted and you can hear difference between old hardware synth sound and VST

Thank you for being one of the only people on here with sense and audio knowledge.

Black panther is correct. You can CLEARLY here a difference in both musicality and production value. YES the hardware synths where far more distinct and the way they recorded them gave the songs more character. THAT being said I am an electronic music producer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5G2g3CHnBBo
and I use only VST but still manage to give the tracks a deeper feeling. Scooter got lazy around 2005-2006 and it was sad. They never recovered the quality.

The Ultimate Aural Orgasm is one of the biggest pieces of garbage scooter ever made. LISTEN to the wooden quality of the music. Its a shame really.

Ben, I can't believe how much did you progress. I remember when you started, was it 2005?

I see that you joined forces with a vocalist. Great track, I think it's a good direction. Do you have any YT channel?

As for Scooter - I agree. However, I like the new album, I wouldn't ever think that it would possible again but it's finally something new and different. Of course except that "C'est Bleu" c##p - the same monotonous, boring and cheap music as last few albums. I hope it will fail in the charts so they won't have to care and feel free to experiment, create something different and cool like on "The Big Mash Up".

Really? I wouldnt say that, not at all :!: I'm no producer, so I can't judge the producing methods, but come on, how can you call TUAO a piece of garbage??? If you would say that about JAOTW, I could understand your opinion about serious sounds and such. But saying that about TUAO is, well, like saying gold is not more expesnive than paper. As said, I cant judge the production, but I can judge the music I hear, and TUAO is definately no garbage! And TBMU is also a direction into the right way if you ask me, full of experiments, and so fresh as ice in the freezer. Actually TBMU is a REAL Scooter album if you ask me, totally unexpected sounds and many tricks and tweeks. I myself am also not the biggest fan of CB, not because it's a bad track, but for 2011 the built up and sound are "old" so to speak. And it isn't the quality sound like tracks like NO FATE or SHE'S THE SUN had. Actually DDE is a quality track if you ask me, but CB is good and nice, but comes nowhere near to other tracks on TBMU and comes definately not near to DDE ;)

Heh, actually they have made less stuff now than before... And it's often poorer quality now as well. :D

Don't get me wrong man. VST is a good solution for low budget producers and some also have some good sounds even if they still don't reach hardware. But Scooter have a lot of hardware equipment and i think they just don't use it anymore because software is easier to manage. I also think they changed process of mastering or compression somehow. Since they moved with the studio the sound is not so massive anymore it's more like automation compression everything on the same level. Not fine tuned anymore. Last time i've seen a picture from their new studio there wasn't much hardware anymore.

I really like this video clip idea of I'm Gone

for me the greatest garbage is TBMU along with NoTimeToChill - TUAO?? no waii!!! on'a my absolute favorites besides UTROTT and TSTE -
and even if you think that VST instruments soudn creepy - which isnt true - i bet TUAO was still hardware powered.

in general i'd say VST might sound DIFFERENT, but NEVER worse than hardware. its always the same when people get frightened of new technology or whatever the reason for your vst bashing is.
moreover i guess we everyone tend to get into thinking that from nothing comes nothing - thats basically the case with VST - this impression has became obsolete nowadays though.
i dunno how to argument... well ... i guess u like the Acess Virus TI, dont u? did u know already that all the stuff on it could THEORETICALLY also work on a generic computer, as a Virus TI is purely digital?
another argument:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcpZffaj3AI
vst only.
cheers
