Entering at #77? Not too much of a shock considering the latest releases.

your last release was anything NOT a seller
Give me the sound - to see
Another world outside that’s full of
All the broken things that I made

Just give me a life to bleed
Another world outside that’s full of
All the awful things that I made

Ed and Sandra, I don't agree. I deffinitely think there is more than making money and chart positions behind Scooter's persistence. The singles haven't charted well for a long time, they've only EVER had one #1 in Germany. They're not unused to not being mainstream popular and they won't ever be. If the chart positions were the thing that determined whether they continue or not, they would have finished a long time ago. Personally, I think they're not bothered and make the music they want to make because it is their lives. We'll never really know what motivates them after all this time, but I really don't think they care too much about charts. If they did, they would be working a lot harder to make an impact, and for me, one performance on the Dome doesn't constitute working hard. What sort of promotion did they do around the Ramp, Nessaja, TSTE sort of time? I seem to recall everything around that time doing really well but then the positions in the charts falling away afterwards?

J'Adore Hardcore is, for me, the single that I was most disappointed by in the charts. I don't know what position it entered at, but whatever it was, it's far too low. That track is an absolute monster, deserved top 5 at the WORST. I'm Lonely too, that should have been a top 10 at the least and I don't think it was?

We all know the guys care about their succes. HP often said in interviews that when Scooters wasnt succesful at certain times during their career, he was very down, and was scared it was the end of Scooter. No-one could comfort him and so on and he thought it was over. But than when suddenly the succes was back again he was so relieved. Looking at this all I suppose HP is now also not feeling at his best, failing succes of Scooter, end of marriage and so on..... that's what worries me the most :S

I don't read many interviews with Scooter, so didn't know that about HP. I think if they really wanted to be successful and charting top 10 hits consistently, then they could do it. I don't think there's any reason why not, we know they're brilliant at what they do. The music they're making isn't bad, at all. It's just that it takes more to get success than just having a good song. I hope it's not the end, there's much more to come from Scooter. For me, this album and these singles are deffinitely getting back to the best, but I think Scooter peaked with TSTE, and the singles from it, and the B Sides. Nothing else has consistently matched the brilliance of those times I don't think.

J'adore Hardcore got 12 which is still pretty good.
And I'm Lonely did make top 10, it peaked at number 8.

+1
It's not only the music that matters to get succes. Brilliance gets ignorance, and mediocurity gets recognition. And that all due to big piles of cash to push certain artists. And they let other artists "die", while those other artists are the real artists people should listen to. TBMU is definately a great album, it's sound doesnt deserve the low recognition, because it's really great if you ask me :) The 2012 album has to do well, I think Scooter want that and are working on it, but when that one fails too, than it can be a tricky situation. But let's stay positive and hope for the succes to return to the floor with the real hardcore ;)

I have a feeling they'll be attempting their very best with the next album. Possibly even bringing back some styles they're most-loved for, the third-chapter trance-techno hybrids or 1st chapter happy hardcore. I wouldn't mind that, I'd love that. Although the chance is I'm way wrong. But can't see a reason why they shouldn't do something in a genre they have used in the past, especially since most fans love those styles. This bad charting of five successive singles probably has an effect on them, they probably started working right after (or even before) DDE landed badly. It's good to see they're motivated.
 This is a signature.

Well, I'm sorry to see these chart positions of CB, it was the track I heard the most when TBMU came out, but now my absolute fav is Sugary Dip, it just has so many drive -and the more I participate in spinning classes-the more I love the sound of TBMU,because the music in TBMU has many common with the music in my spinning classes which makes me go med and pedal like crazy-my big love for sugary dip is one proof of that.

I think DDE is not that perfect,as I said before for me it's too much "all over the place" while Sugary dip or IAB is more concentrated sound and easier on the ear.
Friends Turbo-not the movie version-is awesome, but the movie version sucks bad-so it is not necessary that if they release a "movie sound track single"-it will work, Fire is completely different-this track is without any stupid extra vocals of the movie characters-so this why it worked IMHO.

TOO is OK,the extended is nice-I think it deserved better.

CB should've been way way up in the charts, but I think Scooter's December (close to X-mas) releases never were with too much success due to the fact that all the "heavy calibres" release all their "jingle bell songs" and of course people buy the more cheesy releases rather than Scooter-I mean, come on who wants to fail with a gift bringing Scooter CD under the tree and not Mariah Carey or Justin Bieber jingle bell songs CD?
Last couple of years was the same -the singles released around X-mas didn't work well, and I think this should be taken into account.

Good points there, Xer ;) Its indeed so that most X-mas time releases of Scooter didnt work that well, with a few exceptions like FTM for example. True. SO this all also didnt help, but well, Scooter might have thought many Vicky fans would want the single under the X-mas tree. But as you say, X-mas time is heavy concurence from ancient tracks like "Last Christmas" by Wham! and so on, heavy "x-mas calibers" speaking in your words there ;)

Personally, I don't see why so many artists are SO into making Xmas-themed singles and albums. I dislike most of the old, famous - and IMO overused - Xmas songs that so many artists cover.
What's the deal? I don't see it.

And regarding CB, maybe it should have been released in January. The Xmas rush in December might be 1 reason for the low entering.
Less known bands, or most band for that matter, drowns in all the Xmas singes and Xmas albums that flow out of the music industry, IMO from way too many artists.

 Yes! I have my own spinning class in the basement and Scooter is one of the best to listen to. TBMU is definitely their best album when it comes to spinning and my favourite is Beyond The Invisible (still) especially the "nintendo-part" LOUD!!!

As regards Scooter´s success I may be wrong but I have a feeling they make more money today (if money = success) than they did when I registered on this forum for 6 years ago. A lot have happened since then and only to the better. Even the concerts, dance performances and the visuals are much much better today. Just compare the Encore to the Inferno video, the difference is huge!

If they release IAB and it works well, I think the new 2012-Album will be full with that electro-house.
First time the most of you said "oh no, scooter and house, bad result"..

And today? most of you like IAB :D

well, I think it would be well in the charts... popular style, nice female singer etc.
the only things that they must do is:

- Release a 4-5 Track CD (Radio, extended, club, (other artist remix), b-side)
- Show us the video a few weeks before the release
- DO SOME MORE PROMO!! (like on facebook, TV, Radio..)

- Release a 'Remixes' CD, like with 'Move your ass: remixes'
- Make a Extended Video

It's very unlikely that they do that, but be honest, with a 5-Track CD and a B-side incl. we would be all happier with the result of the single...
You light up another cigarette,
And I pour the wine.
It's 4 o'clock in the morning,
And it's starting to get light.

I think the huge succes of the JAOTW time (which was a big surprise to all, also to Scooter I think) has made a strong foundation underneeth the band, and has brought them for sure a huge income on which they still can sort of exist nowedays, even with the failing succes the last time. But one day they need such a turbo boost again, so let's hope that atleast 2012 will bring them that boost back, because a boost by TBMU is sadly something that wont happen anymore... so all eyes focussed on 2012 ;)

A remixes version of a maxi cd requires artist to remix the single, and I dunno if there are many artists who would wanna do that.

They could open up for remixes by fans, though, would be nice to see.

I am very, very, very disappointed with the poor "success" of C'est Bleu...such a good song charted so damn badly!!! The worst chart position in the history of Scooter!!! Unbelievable...something must be very wroooooooooooong! ;(
We don't need a knife, we don't need a gun...all we need is Scooter and some fun! :)

I'm pleased that C'est Bleu failed. So there won't be another jump/hardstyle album. They just should get back to their normal dance/trance sound with some little experiments on the album.

The good thing is that TBMU has alot of experimenting, I hope for that for the next album too.
