Unknown Ripps?

Hi folks,

I am bored so I decided to make this topic :D

We all know Scooter is a ripping machine. Today more than ever. But they used to do it also in the past a lot. From the most of the tracks we know the main sources (like hookline, synthies), the obvious things. But for me there are still some tracks which nobody seem to know which tracks they ripped or which source they took. At least nobody seemed to talk about it and I tried my best to find it. Maybe the sources are known, maybe the tracks are really original. Which I doubt ^^
So here are tracks where I think this must be ripps, but did not find anything about it. Somebody knows? :)

Choir Dance - the name of the song which the choir sings?
Frequent Traveller - the singing voice
Don't Gimme The Funk - the main hook, the violin melody
Space Cowboy - the singing female voice
Sunrise (Here I Am) - the singing female voice
No Pain, No Gain - the main hook
Like Hypa Said - the choir singing and also the main hook after it
Swinging In The Jungle - the main hook which replaced ABBA's "Arrival"
The United Vibe - the C-Part, this sitar-like melody
East Sands Anthem - the main hook (seems to be a traditional one?)

Really would like to know the originals :)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What we found out till now:

Sunrise (Here I Am) - Pat Boone - "Song To The Siren"
Swinging In The Jungle - technically an own melody, but still uses ABBA's "Arrival" as a rough template
The United Vibe - a loop from a sample-cd
No Pain, No Gain - Echo & The Bunnymen - "The Cutter" / maybe also a traditional Jewish melody (not confirmed)

AFAIK the hook Swinging In The Jungle is the same as in Roll Baby Roll (Arrival from ABBA), just played backwards.

And I heard those voice in Like Hypa Said ages ago, but everytime I hear it, just can't remember where and when I heard those. The same with East Sands Anthem, but the rest I don't know...

Choir Dance: I got a old article about that song. It was a contest by Scooter where they looked for a school-choir.

Sunrise (Here I Am): The chorus is ripped from "Song To The Siren" by Pat Boone. I found Tim Buckleys version on YT > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vMTEtDBHGY4&feature=related

Thanks a lot :) Maybe we can find out more.

@aganim:
Really? That is interesting, never thought about it this way. But seems almost logical for Scooter :D So I have to check this :)

@Thunderstruck:
Yes, I know the story from "Choir Dance". But I would like to know what the song itself is called they are singing. Seems to be a church song or something?

I think you mean that the bagpipe part in Swinging In The Jungle sounds almost the same played forward and backwards. I just checked it myself and it sounded almost like I didn't reverse it in the first place (except for the drums and backwards H.P.-shouts.) ;)

Like Hypa Said could be from Woody Van Eyden feat. Jimmy H. - Y68 (Peak Twins Rmx).

the C-part in The United Vibe is also ripped from somewhere... I heard it in the Ridge Racer 6 game for the xbox - exactly the same melody (game is older than TUAO) and I'm pretty sure that said c-part is even older

Like Hypa Said was released in 2003 and Woody Van Eyden feat. Jimmy H. - Y68 (Peak Twins Rmx) was released in 2007. This is one of the few occasions Scooter seems to be the ones who got ripped. I love that remix though!

Okay, so everything is open again :D But nice that we can discuss about it.
So "Swinging in the Jungle" is open again, also "Like Hypa Said". And the other ones, too ;) What we have is Rattys "Sunrise". Ah yes, the C-Part in "The United Vibe", forgot that one. I add it to the list.
So maybe we can find the other ones. Looks like real detective work :D

Swinging In The Jungle is the notes of Roll Baby Roll played in a different order so that they sound alike but yet are different.

You are sure? Sounds very different for me. So we can count it as an selfmade melody? Even if they just changed some notes, technically it is new somehow.

Oh, just got one more track in mind that I added to the list. Ever wondered what this song could be: the violin melody in Don't Gimme The Funk. Some traditional folk song? If yes, which one?

It sounds indeed like some sort of folk country melody or so, atleast that was always what came into my mind when I heard it. But what song it is, I have no clue, but would be interesting to know :)

Here's also a nice inspiration / sample list: http://scootertechno.pl/inspiration.php
H.P.'s "The Voice" - "The Myth" > He stands out all above the rest, blonder than the best! :D

The United Vibe - the C-Part, this sitar-like melody

That's a complete loop from a sample CD. Can't remember the name tho, but a Hungarian dance band also used it.

So really "only" a loop? Okay, I believe you ;)

And in another topic the secret of "No pain, no gain" was solven :D I add both to the list.

So what about the other tracks?

Listen to the melody of the Duran Duran track "Reflex" starting from around 1:22 minutes. It's quite similar to the main melody of CB, only the last note differs a bit.
