Never believe anything they say about they style of a new album :)

I always thought they would do dubstep coz of the popularity of the genre atm and that's what they've done since the jumpstyle stuff, following a recent trend...

Well, as dubstep is so popular at the moment, and as Rick has already said that there will be some dubstep on the new album, you didnt tell us anything :) There's actually just 2 dubstep tracks (one may be only with dubstep elements, while DDE seems to be only track that is completely dubstep)....didnt mean to question your superiority or anything :P

They've been doing that since the beginning actually:

Hyper Hyper came in response to Ultra-Sonic rocking the Mayday festival in 1994, and ATBGO copied that style of bouncy techno with MC and crowds. (followed by OHH/Wicked)
Electro/breakdance tracks (often using Kraftwerk beats) were popular in 1998, hence NTTC.
Trance became really popular in 1999, hence BTTHJ (complete with instrumental at the front, which they never ever do except ATBGO).
Commercial trancey covers were popular in 2003, hence the more rip-heavy trance-based TSTE. (as opposed to the more varied Sheffield/WBTN before)
Jumpstyle became a fad in 2006/7, hence JAOTW. (after a fairly solid period of MTG/WGTLLN/TUAO, even if the first and last of these were experimental)
Hardstyle became more popular in 2008/9, hence UTROTT.
And over the past 2 years it's been commercial electro/housey/techy stuff and dubstep.
We started in 1994....in 2012 we're still on the case!!!

Yes they never started trends, they followed them.

The huge difference is:

In the 90's and the early 00's Scooter followed trends but their production and sound quality was extremely high, much better than anyone else working in the same genres. Now, its a different story - Scooter sound cheesy and their production is bland and poor.

I agree with that!some tracks from the new album seems fake non scooter!its a big mash up but but its not always for good!from the time i hear the samples i am in a bad mood maybe i was too optimistic!the only one was good but not massive a bit slow than other teaser singles before the ablums!and they said that they pushed the album 2 months later to change it, to be more old school so imagine how it was first!i keep 3-4 tracks that are hearable!and waiting for something better in the future!the 4 chapter is losing something from the magic of the past and its gonna be longer than the other 3 chapters :S

@ kelvo: What?!?? :) That was a strange thing to say! Every music style has it's on fan base & place's.. There are music styles that are faaaar away from the mainstream. And never has been a trend. But the music are still very alive!!!!!

4 chapter started with trend rap style parts from fattman scoop at 2007 in the legend behind the cow!they not even played it at lives...it died and its fresher than others...i think they wanted something new to see how it works,i dont now if michael played a role on this(like he did with rap style) but i never remember such a big mash up on facebook-net comments before :(

styles are different and people mostly will listen to modern music, unless you are hardcore fans,

what i mean in ways is if scooter never changed their style in 96 they most likely would have finished years ago

For me they can't get more worse than JAOTW and UTROPP so even Dubstep will be fantastic for me. :D
