The problem with Youtube or MyVideo is that you have to search for a song in order to see it, and if you dont search, you also wont see the song. So in a way no matter if its early or late on the online vid sites, the same problem remains. In order to let people search for the vid to watch it one needs to adress in interviews or adds on TV, when and where the vid is released. And usually therefor the music channels like VIVA were the most important, because there people might stumble on the vid when they watch the channel. But well, VIVA is now full of series and the music vids are often only played on times of the day when not many people watch the channel. Further problem is almost no, well actually no airplay on the radio's. This all makes it damn hard for Scooter to get people search and find their vids. The fans search and find them, but other audience simply almost hasnt the chance to stumble on them. But other audience has it easy to stumble onto Rihanna's newest hits for example. And that's the main issue I think.

I agree with you, but still, the Kontor's YouTube channel is big and could've promote it (new stuff from Scooter) at least few times better. They could've put some more ads and tags on other videos. ;)
We don't need a knife, we don't need a gun...all we need is Scooter and some fun! :)

Scooter needed VIVA and used it to great effect in the past. But now VIVA has gone downhill, no REAL Club Rotation anymore, no REAL very long Interaktiv show anymore, and no REAL airplay anymore at primetime (because than there are series). Scooter survived all those years without radio airplay, because they had their "friend" VIVA, and now that "friend" has left them in a major part.....and well, the succes seems to have left too.... it seems the online portals are not enough as only source of frequent airplay :S

Yes, but there are almost unknown bands and artists that aren't played by many radio stations either and they don't have a strong VIVA either. And they don't even have Scooter's big name. But nevertheless they have their hits.
I think Scooter should use the traditional way of promotion (TV shows, VIVA, appearances...) to wake the interest of as many people as possible. If a song is catchy there will probably be enough people to search the video on youtube. And therefore the video should be online as soon as possible. So you have more people who have found the new single's video by accident or have searched for it after watching it at a music show before the single is released officially. And this provides good chances for a high chart entry. A high chart entry catches more interest of the media/the radio stations and the club DJs and so the ball begins to roll. If you have a lot of people who search for you on youtube or who are your facebook-friends everything is quite easy because one single facebook-post informs pover 100.000 people of your new stuff within a very short time. But in order to get that status you must use the classical promotion ways to catch the necessary attention.
