To all the complainers:
Would you rather prefer that Scooter stayed with rave and happy hardcore, and died 10 years ago? Everyone have different tastes, and if Scooter's change of style by the years is so horrible, go find another favourite band.

some TUAO tracks were scooter style at its best (rattys revenge, scarborugh affair... hell yeaaah). UTROTT was still kinda scooterish..
actually its only this remix that bugs me
it's well produced, but sorry, I dont like this progressive house/trance sound...this isn't Scooter, they're trying so desperately to follow trends but instead they should go back to their amazing trance instrumentals...if somethings is IN/trendy/fresh/new/popular it doesn't mean it's good...
so, if this is a taste of the new album sound, I need to REALLY lower my expectations because this sucks...I cant believe they're selling themselves like this, first TOO and now this...
You sound like any fan of any band that is moving forward and evolving/changing and feels left behind. I hope you realize how ironic you sound. I loved the 3rd chapter instrumentals. Gorgeous gorgeous stuff. But just because you think this sound is bad, doesn't make it so. And just because I think it is good doesn't make it so. You are speaking as though your statement is based in objectivity. But it isn't.
On a personal note. I think it is very well produced, hard driving, and It is good to hear Scooter evolve. I pray the new album has songs this good.

Of course, it is just my opinion....I already said it is very well produced, like most of the modern progressive trance tracks, I'd never say this is a Scooter track...and that's the whole point, I dont want Scooter sounding like other artists especially like this...this is the reason I dont like modern trance sound, and why I stopped following trance music, because most of it is so slow, left without any energy, emotion and power that trance used to have, I say most of it....actually it became so similar to house that sometimes it's really difficult to recognize if one track is progressive house or trance...and I HATE 99% of house music...
example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uG0x0dobSQc (2001) and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yS5PNr_kew8 (2010)
first one is full of energy, emotion, adrenaline, the reason why I fell in love with trance music, while the other one is just some washed up, poor excuse for a trance track...sorry but it is not evolution for me
I cant feel the special Scooter touch in this Sinead remix, there's no powerful melodies and emotions that is the whole point of trance music for me, sadly it isnt just the case with Scooter, but after all these years and countless ripoffs and sell outs, I hoped that they will at least keep their trademark trance melodies & instrumentals, actually that's one of the reason why I'm still listening to Scooter...this remix is just one of the countless, soulless, unimaginative trance tracks that are being released nowadays...if it's just one track, an experiment, then it's ok, better then another LUT-based remix anyway, but if this is the new sound that we can expect on the forthcoming album, then Scooter is pretty much dead for me...
and yes, as iCelebrate already said, Burn The House & First Time are miles away from house...also, there is not such thing as piano house mate, and if there is, First Time is definitely not it...sometimes it's better to keep quiet, then to invent new genres, believe me![]()
Yes, the Remix is good.
Oh, scooterusa: The First Time is NEVER a House-Track. That's rubbish.
!
I am a musician, and a successful one at that. I am talking about the VIBE of the music. And yes there is such a thing called piano house. Do a quick google bud.
You guys are idiots.
You seemingly cannot differentiate between comparing the feeling of a song and the actual genre.
I am talking about the FEELING of the song. The First Time is very housey in its feeling. House music often uses pianos, the First Does as well. It has a happy loungey feel, much like house music. The only thing that is different is the tempo.

The remix is bad for you because you dont like this genre of music or you dont think it sounds like "scooter". The remix is not bad because its bad. In fact it got played on a well respected show by Kyau & Albert.

Actually, I would. Better to stop at you prime, then to sell out and release any kind of sh*t, just to stay on the scene and make money. And believe me mate, Scooter haven't been my favourite band for a loooong time, I'm into completely different electronic genres![]()
