i do still think scooter make a lot of money, maybe not as much as before but still a lot,
UTROTT and the singles wernt massive sellers, but still scooter continued to do 2 main tours in 2010 and plan the 1million euro inferno,
so scooter are doing good for cash,
TBMU will likely enter the top 10 at least top 20, or it should do anyway and then the whole cycle will turn again until the next album

as said, todays market is all about the albums and downloads now, singles are becoming a thing of the past today as many just download their prefered songs from an album.

also no way will kontor ever pass on scooter, scooter are kontors biggest act and scooter have a huge reputation,
kontor would likely lose a huge amount of cash and promo if scooter were to be forced out

the only way scooter will ever stop is when they decide to, and i know as well as some, it aint far off,
but as said scooter could well go on for another 10 years, i just cant see hp raving like he does when he is in his 60s,

but we will see, i recon a good few years yet before this happens

it's all about the money didi dam dam da da dam...

Once I read H.P was asked if Scooter is the richest band in Germany-H.P's answer was "you should better ask the Scorpions :-)"

There was a question I heard once "How much money is "F*ck you money" for you?-meaning how much money one would need to tell his boss to f*ck off"

So in a nutshell, I believe if Jens ever tell Scooter to quit from Kontor, they have earned enough "F8ck you" money to tell Jens F.U. and keep on with Scooter in their own studio like it was in the pre-Kontor days somewhere over a bakery, or like ATB who still keeps producing most of his albums in his house-like many rich bands do-now you always watch MTV shows about artists and everyone has a state of the art studio in his own house-I think H.P and Rick and Michael have enough money to make a studio at one of their houses without interrupting the wifey-->I heard H.P. is single so the noise in the house won't bother anyone :whistling:

Bands make nearly all their money from tours and shows.
Singles are made to promote the album.

The album is made to promote the tour.
So money made from the actual songs is a bit of a side bonus.
The shows is where they aim to make there main money.

No, this is not true at all. Band do not make any money with concerts. Concerts is a none profit business for the bands. The income of an concert only covers the concert costs.

Strange statement. Nowadays the live-shows are the only profit for the most bands.

Lady Gaga played Madison Square Garden on her last tour sold out to 67,000 people.
The gross income was 8.9million dollars.
The show didn't cost that much to put on.

id imagine they make a little bit

but i recall the encore dvd, scooter are asked a question about this and they said that the income has all gone on the tour

so its likely they pay for their own shows,
events like heesetag will pay scooter to play live their, so the will make a few their and so on

I think they won't make the big money with their concerts, but for sure they will earn a bit at least ;)
Even if 2 from 35 € fans pay for a ticket go to the band members (and the other 33 € cover the costs for venue, equipment, personal stuff, security etc.), it will give a good amount in the end.

Any news regarding this week chart position ? Did the "Standium Techno Inferno Show" had any effect at all on the chart position or is it still out of the chart?? like it was last week..
I was kinda hoping for TOO to return to the charts again. But i guess that won`t happen unless the show did something magic to it

There something between: "Oh nice new song of Scooter" and: "I'll buy the single" (with only 2trk)
Everybody can listen to the track over and over without buying. (youtube etc.)

But I think the album will be a really big success.

I just hope the album won't suffer in the chart because of it. We need some huge new single somewhere in the end of August - begining of Septemberm to put Scooter on the map again !

There's something to ScooterPosseLeipzig's point -- even I chose not to buy the new single. I was planning to buy it in Hamburg. I didn't -- why? Because there's no new b-side. There's essentially the single track, which will feature on the album (I'd guess -- if not, then I'll buy the single). There'd be the club mix which is rather good (have heard it on youtube) but that alone didn't make me get it, because I never listen to those mixes that much. I think many were on the verge of buying, but when seeing that there wasn't a quality b-side like they've got used to, they chose not to, for the same reasons as mine.

I too think the album will do pretty well, nevertheless. It's a completely different situation after all. Album is for everyone, singles are bought mainly by the biggest fans and djs. Plus in a way singles don't offer much, especially this kind where there's no new b-side. Album offers 11-13 new cool tracks.

Just hope they'll choose the next single well...
 This is a signature.
