Well, I hope they go further back. WGTLLN was maybe the biggest dissapointment of an album for me when it was released. It just wasn't what I expected at the time. Too many tracks that were kind of untypical for Scooter. The only "real" Scooter track for me on that album was See Me, Feel Me.

But a couple of weeks ago I listened to the whole album again for the first time in maybe years... And I think it's much better now than I originally thought. The album has some real potential in it, and even Take Me Baby is very nice as an "album filler".

For me, I hope they go back to the We Bring The Noise!-era. I feel the Scooter spirit in that particular album in every single track! :)

Combined with some piano elements as in Wicked! (When I Was A Young Boy, Zebras Crossing The Streets, The First Time) and some kick ass-trance like BTTHJ's Watch Out and TSTE's Soultrain... That would be sweet! :D

WGTLLN had really big potential in it. Great tracks, great lyrics / rhymes flowing smooth like water, much energy and power and yet also much diversity and different styles. 8) And well, HELLO is one huge single if you ask me 8)

But Wicked was also very special, wouldnt mind a few wicked style piano sounds in the new tunes :)

I've listened to WGTLLN today, and personally I would love that the new album TBMU would be an album with similar sound and vibe, because this album is excellent 8)

I agree :D That's a kicking album!

Personally I would like an album with the feeling of WGTLLN, TUAO and a bit of WBTN with new, fresh sounds and lot of styles. Wow, even thinking about that is awesome :)))

Hello is indeed a massive track, and the overall production quality on WGTLLN compared to JAOTW is ALMOST like comparing black to white. JAOTW was pretty fast produced, and it's noticeable. The mastering, power and flow in songs from WGTLLN is among the best in Scooter history. It fits like a hand in the glove. ;)

But for me, it still doesn't represent Scooter "roots". It represent Scooter going advanced and experimental. Scooter real roots would be happy hardcore, but that's not what we're getting on the next album (at least not completely). I'm guessing powerful, fast paced dance tracks with massive power, not in the form of hardstyle, but more in a renewed type of Fish-Mañana-Faster-Millennium-Pusher-Posse-Aiii-Ramp-Nessaja-Weekend-Night-Maria-Jigga-One-Hello-Cow-kind of way.

Another track with awesome guitar riff like Fire or FHS would be cool too! And another track with the same kind of invention, but something they've never done before (like Fire, the first "dance-rock" track ever).

Oh, and synths that sounds unique like in Ramp! or Nessaja, not typical saw-synths like in I'm Lonely and The Only One. It sounds awesome, yes, but it's not unique to Scooter.

Scooter going creative but sticking to their roots... Ahh, I'm dreaming, or will it be reality? :D

no fate is a good live track and always sounds good live, and i like how they dont over play it too
now all we need is the re edit, wicked

always love the intros

There has actually been a slightly re-edit of No Fate, back on the Encore-DVD/CD. The only difference is an added synth on the already massive synth part in that track. (Listen from 2:17 and onwards on the live version from the Encore CD.) I always felt this gave the track some additional power, but in later concerts they seem to have forgotten about their own re-edit, or they just didn't like it or something. No Fate is the most special Scooter track for me, because it was that track that made me sure I was a fan, and Scooter were my new favourite group. But I never did mind that added synth, it only makes the track better. And I agree, the way H.P. shouts "THERE's NO FATE!!!" and "Yeeaah-eeey" parts in live versions are extra great! :D

well i think its more like the original with added live synths to liven up the track, which is why everytime scooter play it live it sounds different, i just wanna hear a full re edit like with fish?

I've listened to WGTLLN today, and personally I would love that the new album TBMU would be an album with similar sound and vibe, because this album is excellent

i also did recently and agree, it sounded so fresh again, and it is weird for me because when it first came out, i listened to it all the time, but then i stopped i never hardly listened to it, but now i feel refreshed again

Agree fully... I really wonder how far back Rick meant going.

i reckon as far as the BTTHWJ roots and the WBTN ans TSTE era, as he did mention dance and trance

same here regarding WGTLLN, also i would love some more piano tracks, wicked has some of scooters best piano work and is a force to be reckoned with, this is one of scooters more finest albums as it had so much to go with, it had a risk at the time for a change in style leaving hardcore behind and moving towards trance, but still kept the hardcore vide within, such a great album

same here, both had their parts, and i agree with you on WGTLLN, it was mastered very well, but to me it didnt have much hit potential, which likely explains its low success

yeah JAOTW had may flaws, and it seems unreal as to how it was so successful, but thats music for ya

WGTLLN is an interesting album

But to me it only has three 'great' tracks on it: Hello (Good to be Back), See Me Feel Me and Seven Bridges.

Some of the others are decent but have been bettered by similar tracks from the other two third chapter albums. Like 'Everlasting Love' was bettered by 'All I Wanna Do', and 'Mesmerized' was bettered by every other trance track from the third chapter.

Also to me it has some downright boring tracks like Apache, Unity Without Words 3 and Take Me Baby.
But it's a very experimental album and Scooter deserves credit for that, not to mention it's miles ahead of UTROTT.

If I had an album, the style of which I wish Scooter would return to, it would be We Bring The Noise. To me this is the closest Scooter's come to to making a perfect album.

you are in ways right to me

the 3 tracks you like are the best on the album, although 'im not a big fan of seven bridges,
i also find priviledged to witness one of scooters better tracks, well made, good sample use and nice meaningful lyrics

and their are better songs in the other chapters like you say,
however to me i find apache a very good track, nice bass, i like it and have fond memorys if it, also i really like the use of trance in UWW3
take me baby reminds me of a better version of so what cha want and lass uns tanzen

and as you say it is a good experimental album and easily as good as UTROTT if not better, actually it is a better album

but to me WGTLLN is a second TSTE with elements od old skool scooter charm

it has to me the best ever scooter intro, hello is now like a mix of one and fire/FHS
rock bottom is a second maria, the leading horse is the main experiment here, and later influenced BTC
as said take me baby is a better version of so what cha want, apache is a good experimental instrumental and scooters toach on the classic track
see me feel me is a typical scooter track which in ways reminds me of the night, (mainly the c part)
UWW3, i dont know why it has that name as unlike the first to it has now real meaning to it, 1 and 2 basicly were scooters own remix versions of their songs, or maybe the origal ideas, but UWW3 doent have this, its just a experimental trance track, which i happen to like.
everlasting love is as you say, a lesser version of all i wanna do, but again a worthy experiment, seven bridges could have easily been a single and i rather like mesmerized, but iis it as good as soul train, no, but i would say is one of scooters best ending tracks

so in ways this album is one of scooters better ones

I listened to WGTLLN? too these days and I have to say: There are a lot of great tracks on it.

Seven Bridges - the emotional pianos, the catchy trance melody, the hard bass, and the crowd chorus that creates a unique feeling of community + HP shouts that fit perfectly --> a real bomb, should have been a single.

Rock Bottom - powerful track with cool C-part and other specials like Darth Vader

Everlasting love - great mix of typical Scooter style and hardstyle effects with a lovely chorus

Hello - fast, hard, earworm synth

PtWitness - perfect flow consisting of bass, trance synth and HP's shouts

This salbum has such an earworm potential and so much Scooter spirit.
The only problem at it's release: It contained mainly two chorus styles (crowd + hpv), so it was not that diverse and these chorus styles had been used for a lot of the latest single releases; and: the instrumentals + Take me baby seemed a bit like gap fillers.
With better tracks instead of some of those gap fillers, Nikk's clear voice in "PtW" and a non-hpv chorus in "The Leading Horse" this album would have maybe been the best Scooter album ever.

agree Ed. When i hear Privileged To Witness.....i'm flying!!!!!!!!!!! Together with The Chaser from MTG, these 2 tracks are God sents! If Scooter will release something like that again, i will do anything to see them live, that would motivate me. I had an interesting chat with a friend lately and we discussed to attend a concert with bikes:D:D Would be an adventure to take a 700 km ride (ofcourse in a few days) to see Scooter!!!:D Call me mad, but i would like to do this!:D

I won't call you mad, but actually some newspapers could somehow get to know it, and suddenly it will look like a good PR stunt by Scooter :D Oh yes, PTW and TC are unbelievably great tracks, just one new track of that caliber would make the new album into a bomb. I really really hope we will get a new one to add to that range, to which I also would like to add LHS and SB ;) 8)

Totally agreed. State Of Mind, Sinead Remix, Discolights Remix and Ti Sento are the only 4th chapter tracks that come close to oldschool scooter.
