I'd think they have about half of the tracks to rework -- perhaps about half of the album is in that electro-house style, the rest something else (I hope). Now when I have had time to think about this for a moment, I think it's really an exciting bit of news -- I start to think we're in for some really good beats again; I keep imagining Our Happy Hardcore styled stuff with updated sound, or something to that effect.

It's great, that they realised it. I hate House and Electro. These stiles are so boring.

Wow... 1 year of work gone? Re-working is very hard to

yeah, but i hope it will sound good for scooter and the fans

But will the new album be now made in a rush, because it seems they have to start all over again ? So this new release date is maybe a bit to soon .....

not really, they may choose th use what they done so far, it seemed that they liked what they have done so far but dont like the style, as they said they have been trying out all kinds of stuff and it seems trance and dance has become the favorite again, also scooter have said that they have been working with other artists in the studio on their facebook a while back, so i think they wont scrap what they have, i reckon they have bits of stuff all over the studio, so i think they may keep the ideas they have and change the style of them, they also said they keep tweaking the tracks to make them better, so they must like what they have.

if you look at the scooter singles that have been retooled eg aiii shot the dj, call me manana and note apache rocks the bottom and suavemente, even the re edits scooter did on posse and fish?, they didnt take too long to do as the base of the track was already their,
and scooters work is computer based, it will be a matter of changing the music stlyle and making the major changes to suit the track
it looks like scooter have given them selves an extra 1.5 months to do the changes and finish the album.
seems scooter have had a lot of issues with this album, style changes, delays, of course all the events and the inferno have likely slowed the process down too.

Now it's very hard to think, when should we expect next single

i reckon it was nearly ready, now unless scooter scrap the idea, i think they may change it to how they now want it as they clearly know house is out of the question and still keep it on the frame, now the album has been put back a month. they did say that they planned to release a single in august with the album, so it might still happen, or at least a few weeks later, maybe in september with the album, bear in mind, scooters new album could have already been due for late august, so the delay may only be a month at the most.

I am afraid this album will become a mixture of their already finished electro-house tracks and new music style tracks and this means a half finished album. What a desaster.

btw. time to re-think the albums name

could be but to me it seems scooter are not happy with house, so i reckon a complete rework of the songs they have and the rest will follow.
also TBMU was on the back of the TOO single so i think it will stay, as we think it seems the new album was gonna be a mix of styles with house being its main feature, but this interview suggests that scooter may have been working mainly on house and electro, so if it is still a mix then it should not take too long to edit the house parts out.

Im still not sure if the big mash up is a real name

as said scooter had it printed on the back of TOO single so i think it will remain, but it could still be changed

all this news now makes me think that TSTI dvd release if it was gonna happen may now be cancelled due to the extra work, maybe it will be an extra on the album

this is what H.P. said too but in my opinion the reason is not because they are not happy with house but they are not happy about the sales of too.

I think it might be both things, that made them decide to change all. But in a way TOO is also not really that much electro house, so maybe TOO is actually the new sound that they already adapted. Maybe originally it would have been slower and different, but than they skipped the double A-side release together with FT to rework TOO more in Scooter style so to speak ;)

Sounds doubtful to me -- I think the decision is really recent, could have been made right after Avantgarde's DJ set. :D I don't think TOO represents the harder style they're looking for again, I think the guys were until very recently planning on stuff like TOO -- house influences, slower than usually, etc.

Hahahaha....this made me laugh :D Interesting thought LOL :D But I actually did like Avangarde's DJ-set...but well, the crowd was not moving that much, so who knows, maybe your thought is right :D

:D I liked the set too but from my place at the back I couldn't see the crowd moving at all, only about 10-15 seconds during the very best two or three tracks (whatever they were) or when that guy with the microphone ordered them to move. But otherwise the crowd was almost pathetically still, and I think there's a high possibility HP and co. saw this and thought "ohssshit..." :D (Might be that they especially wanted Avantgarde to do a set like that just to see how the Scooter crowd would react; the very target crowd of their music all in one place, good for experiments.)

Hahaha....well, usually I don't move not because a set is not nice, but because I need my strength for Scooter....but well, the Atzen made the crowd move, but ok, that was also an energetic performance. A DJ-set is always more difficult to move people unless there's a good MC that does it, and well, MC Black Glasses wasn't really a good MC, but his voice was better than Avantgarde's voice though :D :D :D

Great cover Edgar

But I hope to god the album name doesn't stay as 'The Big Mashup'

Honestly that name is retarded. It can either mean the album is full of ripped songs, which of course is pathetic. Like they finally got a guilty conscious about all their plagiarism over the last 8 years, they finally decided to admit it.

Or it's an admission that this album is a mish mash of different styles. Even if it is, 'The Big Mashup' is a terrible way of describing that concept. Albums a meant to have a coherent sound and theme, not just a bunch of songs chucked together and released as a package. What's the point of having an album if you're just going to do that. Just release the songs individually on iTunes if there's no common thread linking them.
