New post:
and of course "The Only One" will be the next single-release, it is a brandnew song and has nothing 2 do with anything we released in the past ;-) it´s gonna be out in late may 2011. rock on !

And I think they're serious, I don't see them joking about an album title...

The Big Mash Up?

sounds like the new album will be in different styles...
maybe some electro, some house, some hardstyle, jumpstyle, trance...
you get the idea...

while making my post, twitter informs me about this:

No, they would not joke about such things on Facebook I think! :) And yes, The Big Mash-Up suggests to me a mix of styles, we shall wait and see! :)

Mashup
seems this one a bit more than just ripping some tracks.

Quoted

A mashup or blend[1] (also mesh ,mash up and mash-up) is a song or composition created by blending two or more pre-recorded songs, usually by overlaying the vocal track of one song seamlessly over the instrumental track of another.[2] To the extent that such works are 'transformative' of original content, they may find protection from copyright claims under the "fair use" doctrine of copyright law.[3]

Mashup has a number of meanings, all of which are relevant to Scooter I believe.

(1) To be stoned or drunk
(2) To look raggedy or beaten-up in appearance
(3) A rip off of different music tracks to produce a new track

hmm..."The Big Mash Up" may be two types of albums:

1) it's a mix of different styles, as they've said they're trying new equipment, experimenting with various genres so it is possible...it's ok for me, because we wont get another concept album, especially not the whole album filled with horrible house/electro sound...

2) it's an album full of reworks/remakes of their old tracks, but in new styles...for example, if the Only One is really the new version of One (Always Hardcore)...also Friends Turbo would fit in such release, although it's not much reworked, but it could be just a bonus track...so, this could actually make sense, especially considering how lazy they are...

I just pray it's not the 2nd possibility...also, I'm not a fan of "The Big Mash Up" title...too simple/obvious....they could think of something more original, although it's Scooter, yes :)

i think it's the first version, for a second type of album like u mentioned, they don't need studio assistant and not so much time, until august;) I that case they would have released the album this month or in may, but i'm 100% sure that it won't be an album with reworked ("reworked") tracks like Friends Turbo! But i could image a few tracks, on a bonus CD;)

YES! Awesome news! The Big Mash Up... I have to think of the title for a bit longer to have my opinion on it, but I can say it's already better than Jumping All Over The World. Really can't wait!! I think it hints about a variety of styles. Just can't wait.

And glad to see they confirmed what I was certain of anyway; that The Only One is brand new and has nothing to do with One (Always Hardcore) or any earlier track. And the new piece of info -- release in May! 8o

My day couldn't have a better start. :D

Add: And the fact that they just gave about 10 interviews about the new album, the new single, and TSTI -- the info should start trickling in soon.
 This is a signature.

Nah, I'm on the opposite. I think The Big Mash-Up sounds dumb, not any better than equal to JAOTW.

I think it sounds better than JAOTW (their worst album title in my opinion) but it's definitely not their best title, compared to ones like The Stadium Techno Experience or Back To The Heavyweight Jam. That's a minor point but something cooler would've been better. But as always, let's let the music speak for itself. :D

And one more thing I'm hyped about -- the album photography. If it's really by the photographer I thought it might be by, the booklet is going to be just brilliant, probably the best ever.

To me the title sounds as dumb as JAOTW and WGTLLN :D Thank god it's about the music :D

But anyway, I'm happy that there's finally some concrete news about the album and especially the new single. Can't wait to hear the new single :)
