Having heard the samples, I concluded that it's high time for Scooter to progress by experimenting in new electronic music styles they've never dealed before. They should have started doing it since 2004! In case if they continue reviving hh, they regress.
Riding with me is my friend R.J.Jordan,
Knowing the rules aint part of his program,
Finding the right tune that fits the track,
Might be pretty hard cuz he's f_cked on crack!

Start the match and find the station
Reach what you can and party the nation,
A? Hey! Whatcha gonna say?
I automate the sequence and speed for my getaway
Take it to the edge, there's nowhere to hide,
And call up the crew; let's go for a joyride!

I really like the distorted high pitched vocals in Friends Turbo, sound so fresh
I don't think these can be called distorted! But they do sound nice.

I agree with people that this is a nice extra, and should indeed be considered as an extra single, released purely because of its movie association. The real new Scooter single still remains to be heard.

And where the damn is the video! I want to hear the full version. By the way, any samples on other music sites? Tried searching but none has samples.

I also searched for other samples, and I found a site that has some, it was deejaycharts or something similar, can't remember the site. But I couldn't listen to the samples there, because one has to be registered, and as country only Germany could be selected and you have to give your adress, so no possibility to make a false account. Maybe a German fan can go there and tell is if the samples are the same as on Amazon or not? Musicload still has no samples, I checked today.

Well, I meant "autotune" high pitched voice, but forgot how to call it correct :D But nevermind, we know what we're talking about :D

Two genres I said Scooter should make for years...shame they had to recycle one of their old tracks for it though.

Does it say who made the drum'n'bass mix? Did Scooter actually listen to me for once and make some dnb? 8|
We started in 1994....in 2012 we're still on the case!!!

It's made by Scooter for sure, otherwise it would have been called Remix I would say. It's an experiment by Scooter I would say ;)

Indeed, it's Scooter's, so we're finally hearing the style. :D I have a feeling the album might have some more of it.

I have a feeling the album might have some more of it.

This is maybe what Rick meant in the RSP interview where he told about the album that it will have less BPM than usual, but still the songs will be full of Scooters energy ;)

the new album is looking promising, but dont raise any hopes yet
scooter have done these experiment tunes before, and nothing came of it, this could be purely for the single
remember rick also mentioned electro.

regarding FT, im liking it, although im proberly not the only one to be not so excited, as it is a re edit, the exitment of a new single kinda dropped, but regardless it seems like a good re edit with what would seem a new version too, with the extra lyrics at least,

now im wondering if the friends turbo chart success will be standalone or added to friends, being it is the same song,

im saying this because it happend with JAOTW-WYW, some here thought it may chart seperatly, if it did it would have reached 9 and lasted i think 12 weeks
meaning JAOTW would maybe have not recieved the german gold award

but it was added to the original giving the look of a bonus version, which it was

now this new friends could do the same and add on to its already gold top 5 status, or being slightly different enter as a new single

i wonder if it will count as the same friends in the chart?

Many doubts that the new Friends will top the charts. In 90th Scooter were one of the last who populized hardcore, but in 90th it sounded fresh and the success was obvious and what now? Now comes the 90th happy-hardcore dimly reminding uk-hardcore with new HP shouts. It ain't that success formula to reach the top.

You might be right. I'm not expecting it to top the charts eiter, simply because it's a rework of an older song, and not the truly new stuff. I'm sure the real new single will be in a different style, something that's so far unheard from Scooter.

But some reworks of old tracks have worked quite well for other bands, just look at "Infinity" for example. And Mark'Oh also did a few reworks, which were highly succesful. So there is hope for a decent succes I would say ;)

@Kelvo:
FT will for sure have it's own fresh charts, it won;t be added to F, because it's a new track and the original F was far to long ago ;)

That's the worst that could happen, I don't want them to be encouraged by this in any way. :D I hope TOO will get all the success.

i really don't get their release strategy. after 13 months of silence, and know the last single was a flop even it has been the theme of the championship, you just don't release an update of an older track. with this kind of track they won't make promo for the new stuff at all.

Yes, of course a strange strategy.
But it's their choice, if they like it, they release it. Like ever ;)

Friends Turbo has nothing to do with their new material. Can you understand this or not? It's not for PROMO of the new album! It's just a soundtrack for the movie! The real first single from the new album will be released later! And THAT will be the start of the PROMO compaign for the new album. Friends Turbo is just an extra single for us, like Jigga Jigga! was, for example.

We know all that. But sadly to the general public will see the new release differently. :!: It has Scooter's name on it and it's the first thing out since SOR, so people will see it as the next thing. It's also bad that it doesn't promote Inferno at all, or at least not the way a new single might at this point. Even to Scooter fans who are following the events (but not as actively as we fans on this forum), this might look like the new single -- the way their official site and Facebook talk about it, it gives the impression this is the big thing they've been working on. Only people who have followed the interviews might have noticed HP mentioning "The Only One" once (in that interview where Mike is Ferris) and know better.

It's not working in their favour -- generally (I believe) whenever an artists is in the studio, the next thing they put out after that silence is very important. Many people will judge only by that first impression. If they were disappointed with SOR and see Scooter coming up with a remake of their own track, it's no good. They might not be checking out the new album later, or even the next single. In a way it doesn't bother me -- so what, they don't get to hear good tunes, who cares! -- but it obviously bothers Scooter who want to be heard and seen. And it won't happen in today's music biz with wrong choices, if they're not using the surprise factor to their advantage!
