honestly, after almost 2 years without any new material i was thinking we can expect something very new by scooter. but all we get i just a remake of one of their hits :whistling:

Yeah, that's very unfortunate. And something that will affect the public too, since not everyone will know this is for a film and not representing the new album. When people will see a remake of Friends as Scooter's new single, accompanied by a ridiculous comedy music clip -- it's too painful to think further... ;( The core of the problem is there; everyone is expecting a new album, and this Friends Turbo seems to be something that wasn't planned long before, and doesn't have anything to do with the album. This steals the important spotlight and wastes the new album's chance, at least partly.

But the positive side is that we'll get some extra music -- one more new version hear in Inferno, most likely.

Well, we did get some new material during the last tour. MYA hardstyle remix, a new posse, different Where the beats, so, to say that we didn't get anything new is not true. ;) :)

The whole New Kids Turbo movie is filled with happy hardcore music.
WIth Friends Turbo being the main theme for Germany, I just don't believe it's electro or house.

You guys are forgetting this is a double A side! Friends Turbo is going to be a nice remake, but the real star will be the Only One, as it is a new Scooter production :thumbup:

I won't be quick to judge. I think the main single is FT, because of the movie. But as the fans are concerned TOO should be the MAIN single. The other one should be only a remake of Friends for the movie. Also, FT might not be included on the upcoming album. So if TOO is good (not a comercial shi!t) and comes with a good video, i won't be dissapointed;)

I agree - the movie will be great publicity :) I am very interested to see what this remake like - friends is not one of my favourite tracks, so eagerly waiting to see what thy do with it :)

I guess "The Only One" is a huge track....
Just think about it, they are releasing a double single, one is a remake and the album comes in august! So there is one hope (for them too): The Only One
Otherwise i don't know what will boost the sales for the big show...... The last thing we (and they) want is a big dissapointment :!: I don't know if they can afford something like that...

i wonder who is responsible for scooters marketing?! this guy should get fired. During the last months many marketing things went totally wrong.

After almost 2 years without really new material everybody was waiting for the "new" scooter. They announced the stadium techno inferno, nothing wrong yet. But what was following is everything but not marketing. first they gave news about the new album, later on they announced the delay of the new album. The album release prior the TSTI would have been a huge chance to boost ticket sales for this event which is, in my opinion, totally oversized. Furthermore the TSTE will loose more interest due to the fact that nothing really new will be performed. So the chance to boost ticket sales is gone. Ok, they still have the upcomming single. Everybody was expecting a fresh new scooter made single, showing a preview for the upcomming and deleted album. They had 2 years time to appear with something very fresh after 2 years off the news (single/album). But all we get is a single remake made for a moviesoundtrack which seems to get more attention by the scooter facebook news than TOO which seems to be kind of an album preview track. Furthermore they destroy one of their most important rule not to cover own songs for a single release.

todays news about scooter hurts ...
