Ed my friend, with Scooter I can only quote the poster that's hanging in my room since I was a kid- "The truth is out there" -Fox Mulder, I thought of getting rid of this poster, but every day I come to realize how relevant this saying is nowadays with almost every aspect of life and Scooter too.

The truth is certainly outthere, and when we're lucky we will get to know more this monday, or atleast within 2 weeks. There are still many questions to be answered :D

don't say such things, I'm watching the x-files at the moment, I started over watching the series after I came back from China - I have come to the beginning of season 4 so far.

tbh, the slogan is relevant. And never get rid of the poster :P

well
i thinking that the double a side will already be 2 tracks from the new album, and also will help to break the waitnig time before the albums release

in a way i hope it is not a re edited verison of friends,
dont get me wrong, i would love it,
but i was hoping scooter were not gonna follow the other acts and start releasing old stuff, to me it is unprofessional

on the other hand it may have a significant effect on the chart, friends is a gold selling classic, charting for 15 weeks and reaching 3,
we all know that wont happen again, but the intrest will be good i think

i always wondered what effect a re release would do in the modern chart

also is it me or does all thesigns point to a slow track

the only one somehow to me feels like it is gonna be a slow new wave style track or something along those lines, with a hint of electro
and whatever style scooter have made into progressive, the title seems to have a shes the sun feel to it

to me this will be great, hp's getting old now, he cant jump around so much today, so a slower track makes it easier to perform so to speak
also if this is the case, it may chart badly, which is why (if it is a re edit) friends turbo will steal the light and boost its success, just a guess but looks like another option here,

i als did notice how the 4th chapter has made a tribute to scooters previous work
TUAO was a mix up of new and old, but a good result
the 2 new albums have there flair, but the hi hat song kinda had a sample of stuttgart, and ti sentos b side was re edit of scarborough affair,
plus we have had a lot of re edits for live shows too.

any way, all this news is great, cant wait to hear it, ''the only one'', sounds cool

I have an X-Files poster too. The same one in Mulder's office with the UFO and the text "I Want To Believe". I love it.

I will not participate in any of this gossip about the new singles. I have a pretty good idea of what they both will be but have no interest in talking about them until I hear them...

"i was hoping scooter were not gonna follow the other acts and start releasing old stuff, to me it is unprofessional"

I strongly disagree.
I think it would be immensely gratifying to have an updated versions of old songs, I always love when this happens, of course only when it's properly made and respects the original version as much as possible while giving it more polish and something extra that will make it a better song. I'm hoping a full album of a collection of old songs in 2010's standards. So far Scooter has made updates to their old tracks and performed them live. In all cases the result has been much better than the original version, IMHO. Waiting For Spring is perhaps the best example of this, I absolutely adore the updated version, which has been performed live in 1999 and 2004. How Much Is The Fish? -2007 live version is also fantastic, I love the darker and rougher sounds in this, same with Posse (I Need You On The Floor) -2010 live version. Great stuff.
I would love to have these versions released as studio versions. Live recordings rarely comes even close to match the quality of a studio version.

@Sbetsho:
Those re-makes of the last years were indeed great. I prefer new songs, but when the re-makes of old tracks are done like the re-makes for the live shows, than I wouldn't mind to get a few in the future on an album.
I think we can now say with confidence that we will get a re-make of FRIENDS in studio quality. Let's see what they made of it, but judging by the other re-makes, we might like FRIENDS TURBO even more than the original FRIENDS, although that one is hard to beat, but I'm sure Scooter know how to beat it :)

How often does that happen?
Almost every re-edit of old hit singles that I have heard - 2k9/reloaded/whatsoever - have been worse than the original, and seems to me being an attempt to generate money, by artists who have no success anymore.

Ecuador Reloaded by Sash is the only remake I've heard who IMO can match the original, and isn't a boring remake in the most popular style at the time of the remake.

I was gonna say something about Guru Josh Project - Infinity 2008, but currently listening to the 1990 original, I think the 08 version is better.

that my friend, is a blasphemy...original is a timeless classic...while the 08 version is just another crappy electro/house remake in the big sea of unoriginal and copy/paste remakes that are being released more & more in the recent years..

sorry for off topic

PM me your knowledge. :P Nah, just kidding, but if whatever you know is valid, I hope it's something promising / interesting. :D

I too hope Scooter won't start re-releasing old tracks in new forms, but doing new versions for gigs is great, and an all-new version like Scarborough Reloaded as a b-side is alright and pretty cool too. But I don't think the new album will have older songs in newer form, although, now when I think about it, if they're entirely new-sounding and different styles, it's not that bad. But I just can't see it happening. Thus, I think Friends Turbo is just for the single. And we don't know what Friends Turbo sounds like, it might not be Friends in newer form.
 This is a signature.

Well I don't know about Sash or others, but Scooter definitely are able to make the songs more powerful and fresh and oh, how could I forget the new versions of Endless Summer, Hyper Hyper and Move Your Ass!? Those new versions were absolutely epicly massive in the last year's tour. I would explode in happiness if they released them as full length tracks.

Well, it's better to sell themselves to a movie that they know about than to find out some Brüno used their track :D ;)

I don't understand why not? Scooter has released like million compilations of the old songs with their original single versions. It wouldn't hurt at all to release such compilation again, but this time with updated versions. I don't see why this would be bad.

I completely don't get this statement. It's always a big pleasure to every musician to participate in a soundtrack! That's very good, I think.
