seiner „Stuff The Turkey X-mas Tour 2010“ nach Dortmund kommt, sprachen
wir mit Scooter-Shouter H.P. Baxxter.

Info

Scooter live

„Stuff The Turkey X-mas Tour“:
8.12. Dortmund (Westfalenhalle 2).
Karten für ca. 39 € gibt’s im TICKET-SHOP unter 01805/280123 sowie www.DerWesten.de/tickets

nie in Deutschlands wichtigster Fernseh-Show „Wetten, dass...?“ Wie
kommt’s?

H.P. Baxxter: Das stimmt.

I thought Scooter were those "commercial-to-death-music-f#ckers" ? :whistling:
obviously not commercial enough for Wetten dass... :D

commercial for dance music - yes. But in the ears of normal pop radio chart listeners it's real hard underground stuff. ;)

Happy
Nikolaus - Scooter kommt. H.P.

translation for you all

not the best but still

Often laughed yet successful: With techno songs scooter conquered the German single charts - more than 20 times as often as no other band. Before the trio within his "stuff the Turkey of x-mas tour 2010" comes to Dortmund, we talked with Scooter-Shouter h.p. Baxxter.

Hi h.p., it is soon Christmas tour. How contemplative is's approach for this?

H.p. Baxxter: Probably isn't. You have to see more: before it is contemplative, we want to knock times properly on the ton.

Will you also be seen Santa Claus?

H.p. Baxxter: I dare this doubt. But, who knows – maybe vote we still a Christmas Carol, if the people happy. Otherwise's going but rather violently to the point.

How do Christmas with you because at home - nice cozy advent wreath with Christmas tree?

H.p. Baxxter: Exactly, that's the complete contrast to the X-mas-tour. Since the whole family comes to visit and we celebrate all traditional fondue, adorned with Christmas present.
The whole stuff - up James last "Christmas Dancing". Just the full program that actually never changed since childhood
has.

Your tour is the motto: "stuff the Turkey" (German: "Fill the Turkey")-which has a deeper meaning?

H.p. Baxxter: (laughs) we simply thought that's a cool title miss the whole as a Christmas paint.

Is it really true that makes her before your performances in the backstage room party?

H.p. Baxxter: Yes, we have backstage extra always a killer system then everything running what we currently so like. Sometimes even good ideas for new songs come if we so a little bit around spinning it.

You are Germany's most successful band - but you were never in Germany's most important television show "bets that...?" How do's?

H.p. Baxxter: That's true. But scooters are just not so quite mainstream, but a bit harder than other things.
A Phil Collins or Bon Jovi are still a little "Broadband"...

How are because eigentlichdeinen ears after 16 years of boxes front?

H.p. Baxxter: Da-we have made an investigation times one or two years ago. On my left ear only one slight drawback was found, but that was all still in the green area.

Is it true that you're going without makeup from the House?

H.p. Baxxter: Man must always on it be prepared, that someone wants to take a picture. I have always kinda made me eyes. This powder for a nice complexion so you must always run in the solarium. I find's just beautiful, if one looks so kreidebleich.
4.12 I get 15 days yes

Too bad nothing about the new album, but then again, these interviews seldom have the questions that really interest the fans...

I hope they'll play a 'Weihnachtslied' on the tour, it'd be nice to hear a Scooterized instrumental of some such song. (Even if I'd have to hear it on youtube...)
 This is a signature.

I do think that scooter can release a special Christmas single with a chorus of Christmas songs, this will be a first single, but I think it's possible (christmas dancing)

often people laught at them but nevertheless with 20 top10-hits.
they're the most sucessful techno act of germany.
before they come to dortmund on their stuff the turkey tour we spoke with the shouter hp baxxter.

hi, hp. you're going on xmas tour. how peacfull will it be?

HP: not really peaceful. before its xmas we wanna kick some ass properly.

Q: will you be dressed as santa clause?

H.P. Baxxter: no, i doubt it. but who knows, maybe we will sing a xmas song if the posse is in good mood. but otherwise its gonna be rather hard.

Q: how do u celebrate xmas @home?

H.P. Baxxter: oh well, its exactly the opposite of our xmas tour. the whole family is there, we eat some traditional food, we go to the church and listen to "christmas dancing" by james last. so since my childhood actually nothing of has changed.

Q: the slogan of your tour is "stuff the turkey".. is there a more subtile meaning in it?

H.P. Baxxter: laughing) we thought its a cool title, to make it sound more xmas-like.

Q: is it true that backstage you make party before going on stage?

H.P. Baxxter: yes, backstage there's always a thundering music centre where any kind of music comes out. sometimes we even get good ideas for new tracks , jerking around a bit.

Q: you guys are the most sucessful german group, but you never have been in "wetten das" (a popular tv show). how come?

H.P. Baxxter: thats true.. well you know, we are not really mainstream but kinda harder than other things.
phil collins & bon jovie are a little more "broadband".

Q: how are your ears after 16 years volume up to the max?

H.P. Baxxter: there was a test a few times.. my left ear is a bit handycapped but all in all its alright.

Q: is it true that you never leave home without makeUp?

H.P. Baxxter: yea, you should be prepared for some snapshots all the time. i always made my eyes & also i use poudre.. its not beautiful to look totally pale...

Thank you for the translation, Rochen!
While reading this interview I just got an idea...Scooter should make their own version of some Christmas songs...you know, their "hard" version. :D
That would rock! What do you think about my idea?
We don't need a knife, we don't need a gun...all we need is Scooter and some fun! :)

Thanks for translating! :D
It's quite an interesting interview. I hope I can hear some footage of the forthcoming tour via YouTube.

I think some Christmas songs would be nice in a Scooterized version, maybe only on the tour. "Last Christmas" is really not as bad as I thought one year ago, so that would be nice for me. But they shouldn't release the X-mas songs on any albums - would cause a lot of trouble.
