A prophet
Riding with me is my friend R.J.Jordan,
Knowing the rules aint part of his program,
Finding the right tune that fits the track,
Might be pretty hard cuz he's f_cked on crack!

Start the match and find the station
Reach what you can and party the nation,
A? Hey! Whatcha gonna say?
I automate the sequence and speed for my getaway
Take it to the edge, there's nowhere to hide,
And call up the crew; let's go for a joyride!

Let's go for a joyride!

Yes, producing hardstyle after jumpstyle was not such a big surprise. Keep the recept for success to stay on the top, but change it a little bit to bring some freshness. But concernig the commercial success it didn't really work in all the countries (in the UK it flopped).
After the tuned-basedrum-based ^^ tracks on JAOTW and UTROTT both steps, the step to softer and "brighter" music and the step to darker music with a deep, banging bass seem to be logical.

One can never guess or expect what Scooter will do next. It's always a big surprise....and that's very good
Agreed, thats whats makes them exciting but a bit unnerving at times! But I think they have the formula for success, I think we just have to trust our boys. ;) After all, I believe 80 Gold and Platinum awards means they are doing something right?

Most of the time they do things right, yeah. But the fear is always there for something like SOR 2. ;( :D

Anyway, Scooterworld, how would you describe the new sound? A new prophecy? :D
 This is a signature.

I'd say there are two directions after the "dirty" (because of the tuned basedrum and the 'schranz' effects) hardstyle era and the rough jumpstyle era:
-an easier, 'brighter' and softer style (sth. going towards house)
-or sth. with a clear, deep and full bass (sth. going towards hard trance or progressive house)
in each case I think we'll get a bass/beat-system that is different from the rough and "dirty" jump-/hardstyle beats

Anyway, Scooterworld, how would you describe the new sound? A new prophecy? :D

Well, let's think....hmmmm..... I would say we will get some "Swedish House Mafia" style elements in the next Scooter single (the middle part of this song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iy5zMc9xrfg). And ofcourse some tracks a bit in the style of Lass Uns Tanzen and the 3 Tage Wach Remix. But it will have the Scooter flavour mixed into it, and it will be powerfull, even if some tracks will be less fast. HP's shouts will be somewhat melodical and here and there we will hear some refrains with a distorted womans voice..... and maybe we get even some "Dance hall" influenced tracks. The chance for many instrumentels is also quite big. All in all it will be a relaxing album, but still the Scooter spirit will be for 100% present in it ;)
This time I'm not so sure about my prophecy like I was last time though :D

All the things you predict would be great. :)
I hope you'll be right and everything comes true.

The 2 links posted in this topic are aweful! If Scooter will release songs like those 2, it will be the end for me as a Scooter fan!
For the moment i'm patient, waiting for the new stuff without taking seriously this kind of useless topics and i hope Scooter will keep their main style alive no matter what influences are on the new album!
Yeah, I agree!

We will NOT hear something new from Scooter at MTV show I think. I'll explain. The show is called Super DiscotEka Of 90's. The organisators wants all the guests perform their old and good known hits. So, logically, Scooter will play such stuff as HMITF, CMM, FHS, IWMFLY... well, maybe also they'll play JAH, because it has some success here, in Russia... but who knows. The problem is that some unknown for me forces here, in Russia, doing all to make people forget about Scooter. Most of the people who know Scooter (and it's almost ALL here, in Russia) think that the band is not existing anymore. This new Scooter performance at MTV show will confirm this thoughts, because this show position is "nostalgia" about 90's, old "retro" stuff, old style life, school years and so on. It's sad that Scooter agreed to take a part in this show, actually.

Also there's a program at another Russian TV-channel MUZ-TV (Music Television) called Padded Pilots. It's about forgotten artists that was popular years ago. In one of the episodes of this program they talked about Scooter and said, that their music was primitive and too loud, but the band was very popular in Russia. They said, that Scooter is not writing any new stuff for years (!!!) and at the same time there's a picture from chapter four (with Michael Simon) is showing at the screen! It's like a delirium, OMG, I hate our stupid journalists! So, that's a situation with Scooter here, in Russia at the moment. The band has a HUGE fan base here, but our voices sinking in the sea of voices of 'sold out' journalists... that's very sad and I feel really angry!!!

So the meaning of that phrase stays the same - just to get refreshed while waiting. :whistling:

Ugh, I hate sleeping after thinking of the new album... My dreams were affected again: I saw a dream where the new album was a bit lackluster (can't remember anything else about it) but it included a bonus cd with 10-12 unreleased old tracks. And those were just amazing... Sigh.

That would be a real dream if that would happen. It would be so cool ;)

It wouldn't be "cool" if the new album was lackluster.

Be a real shame if only the bonus CD was worth listening to.

I assume that's what you meant to quote anyway. ^^
