Thanks HMITF?!?, I had a feeling your source was legit and so it seems. Interesting interview -- a nice chance to hear Rick's views on things.

As Frontliner does, I too find it difficult to imagine tracks like the recent remixes in live shows or an album full of them. That's why I think the style won't be quite like that. It might have elements of it, but it could (and hopefully will) be heavier and more detailed. And notice that Rick said that the new sound will still retain Scooter's energy! I have a feeling it'll sound quite different from all the others in the genre.
 This is a signature.

Again, they follow a trend instead of creating a own one. Man, I just miss the days with Axel, where the guys has just take elements of different styles and creating a own unique style.

But who cares? At the end, I like it... again. :P

To be honest, I'm still shocked :( Bad news for me. But of course I need to listen to the album at first... but... I hate Electro House :(( Progressive is good, but I also can't imagine it with a Scooter style.

I love electro and progressive house :D

Hopefully we'll get something more pumping than the previous 'electro' mixes, something that you can really dance to and would sound huge when played live! it wouldn't surprise me at all if we hear something similar to the Swedish House Mafia, or even Deadmau5's latest tracks.

I'm very excited to hear some more news :D

For sure, Scooter will transform Progresive and Electro into their characteristic style.
Riding with me is my friend R.J.Jordan,
Knowing the rules aint part of his program,
Finding the right tune that fits the track,
Might be pretty hard cuz he's f_cked on crack!

Start the match and find the station
Reach what you can and party the nation,
A? Hey! Whatcha gonna say?
I automate the sequence and speed for my getaway
Take it to the edge, there's nowhere to hide,
And call up the crew; let's go for a joyride!

I can translate some of the article roughly:

Last night German techno legends Scooter delivered their first concert in Bulgaria, which if remembered at all will surely be with mixed feelings.

On the one hand, attendance at the concert was quite low, but on the other, all present were aware of what they were there and knew in detail the work of the group.

An hour before the concert we met Rick J.Jordan - composer and sound engineer of Scooter, for a short interview of what to expect now ...

1.In recent months you have been working hard in the studio on a new album, which it is expected this spring. Can you tell us any more?
Yes, we have been working really hard, but at the moment we are only at the beginning - for the moment we are only collecting ideas, and experimenting with styles. It seems that it will be different from the previous one. Of course, typical Scooter style will be maintained but there will be more progressive and electro influences.

2.You are one of the most productive groups, with 45 hits and 17 albums and constantly doing new projects - how do you change your music over the years?
The sound is constantly changing and if the beginning was much lighter and dance, with elements of rock and jazz in the last 10 years we sample different styles - hip-hop, metal, alternative.

3. You are only part of the scene, which in the past decade consistently out new things, like dubstep. What is most interesting new thing to you?
Definitely I like the progressive sound. But sometimes, frankly, I need a tribal - pure rhythm without much phishing elements.

4.What would you say is the typical Scooter sound? A phrase in the song or sound that is super catchy and sticks in your head long after the song is over? Do you purposely look for these lures?
No, rather we make music and they are born. And when processing or listen to songs that we make, I say - that is, it can be addictive phrase. Of course, Hans often deliberately invents choruses that make people scream with him while singing.

5.Another super group from Germany is currently Rammstein, with whom you have previously worked. Is this the face of German sound? Pretty hard ...
I recently read a magazine for electronic music and they say Germany is the mother of electronic music. We though in the 80's all that came from Britain, but researchers say it all started in Germany - with bands like Kraftwerk and Klaus Schulze. On the other hand, heavy metal and rock are an integral part of German musical culture. So maybe - Germany is a country with deep roots of electronic music and heavy sound.

6.In recent years, almost no global artist has become known only because of their music - contemporary musicians constantly figure out how to link it with other arts - cinema, theater, performance, dance, etc.
The three of us personally monitor and come up with concepts for our concerts. Of course we have a manager and a team of advisors and professionals, but we decide when and how it happens. Fire dancers, lights - we want everything to happen as we imagine it.[b]

Letzte

Probe verschiedenen Stilrichtungen - Hip-Hop, Metal, altarnativ ...
Scooter
How do you do?

In
Performance, Tanz, etc.

Has anyone a link to a track with "progressive" sound, because I never heared about that style.... I have to admit I'm not really happy that they go more electro, but let's see, it might be good...as long as they don't forget to make the tracks a bit energetic atleast.

Nowadays Electro is regarded as modern among clubbers so I think the album will have a huge success in the world charts.

you lot say this now until the album comes out. Before UTROTT you said you hoped the style would be over and now you've listened to it you say its one of their best, make up your minds. House is different, electro and progressive is a superb genre. I'd defo like to hear so Fidget House too :) we'll see. Since coming back from Ibiza all I've listened to is house and I really can't complain.

It will quite obviously not be total house because its too slow for an entire album, I guess thats why they say it will have that Scooter touch to it. I for one can't wait, but I will reserve a proper judgement until we hear the single.
