They played for about 200 people in a pretty big arena in Connecticut, I believe back in 2008. They had a couple more shows too.

Sadly, Scooter aren't popular enough here, and once they become popular, they will come ;)

They were in U.S for the first time in 2005, at Allstate Arena - Chicago were they shot the video for Hello. Than in 2006 during WGTLLN Tour, again in Chcago at Congres Theater. In 2008 they had 3 concerts in U.S...finally they had 2 because one of the NY shows was cancelled and they had one gig in NY and one in Connecticut...but as Almanac said above, it wasn't succesful. They are not very well known in the U.S and they need a good promo wich is very bad at the moment  How can we dream about U.S tour when they are not well promoted in Europe and thanks to this they had 4 gigs cancelled in the last 2 months... Don't get me wrong, i would like to see them touring worldwide, but whit such a lame promo......
All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.

I was at both shows in Chicago, Allstate Arena for 2005 and Congress Theater in 2006. The show at Allstate was by far the better show although both shows were decent size.

As for the other shows in NY and CT, why they got booked in CT of all places is idiotic. They should have had enough common sense to say no to that booking completely.

I think another show in Chicago would be successful if the venue is right.

Got a question to american scooter posse, how did you know about Scooter as they are not famous there. And are there any radios or tv-channnels broadcasting some Scooter stuff in USA?
Riding with me is my friend R.J.Jordan,
Knowing the rules aint part of his program,
Finding the right tune that fits the track,
Might be pretty hard cuz he's f_cked on crack!

Start the match and find the station
Reach what you can and party the nation,
A? Hey! Whatcha gonna say?
I automate the sequence and speed for my getaway
Take it to the edge, there's nowhere to hide,
And call up the crew; let's go for a joyride!

Let's go for a joyride!

Internet ;)

And no. The only piece of media ever broadcasted here including Scooter was Bruno.

I should clarify that when they came to CT it was a SMALL venue which was maybe 1/4 full.... no more than 200 people, maybe less than 100.

When Scooter came to the USA last time in 2008 it was my understanding was that not only did they not provide enough time and resources from their management, they also hadn't pre-promoted. Scooter isn't well-known in the USA and they'd need a marketing campaign to get them on the radio. Yes, they could be successful, but they need to try and break in first. They can't expect to do shows which are promoted with virtually no budget and show up 3 hours late for concerts. Perhaps if people started buying their merchandise/supporting them / getting them on mainstream radio via grassroots means there would be a reason for them to come, but they left very unhappy last time... I personally saw it as being their management's fault, but the second show they did consisting of about 100 people didn't help either.

I may have had something to do with that :D I had talked with the promotors and suggested Boston (where Scooter has some popularity and is a big music city + one of the more techno-inclined cities. They didn't want to go all that way and suggested something between NY and Boston so I said "The only real place between there is Hartford." Please also keep in mind the promoters wanted to do New Jersey too, and Hartford is more easily-accessible for Canadians and people in the Northeast and as it turned out most people from the forums (CanobieFan, for example) showed up :P

Scooter's management and promotion isn't very good and even less in countries apart from germany.
They do have potential in the united states but noone really knows them. They need a label for worldwide publishing, but they stick around germany with some concerts in austria and in the near east.
Screw Kontor Records and make a contract with f.e. Universal, like Rammstein :P

I know of scooter because I go to Europe almost every summer but never could match my dates with one of his tour dates. I am from NY. And I agree, the only time USA has a bit of scooter was from Bruno. When I first watched that movie I screamed! I was so excited that scooter was the first song. I've been a fan of scooter I think since I was probably 6/7 years old. I grew up listening to them. I am almost 17 in exactly a week. I am worried that he will stop touring since he is in his mid 40s. Keep living scooter!
