I think one of the reasons a lot of people say the show was a disappointment is because everyone just assumed that this concert was a promo tool for the album but instead, it was more or less a celebration of Scooter's career thus far. When you look at it from that angle with all of the medleys and older tracks played, this concert was amazing. "Sunrise" was easily to peak of the night as well as hearing "Habanera" live again. Also, I for one LOVED the intro. "Keyser Soze", in that element, was incredibly dark and sinister. LOVED it.

well said, your the only one to make sense here, as i also thought this, it was an incredible night,
and for the fans who hate the same tracks, scooter did play a fair amount of older songs that aint been played a lot, and a scooter show without the major hits just wont go, you have to remember that people from all over were seeing this in any one of 3 forms, so the hits were essential,
it was even on the german news aswell so it must have had some impacted

Very good concert indeed!! The intro gave me goosebumps!! But i am à little disapointed aswell (little) i wanted 2 here atleast 1 new song as they promised!! But on the otherhand they played som nice old once, Habanera and so on. And i think they didnt go full out on the pyro, save some money cause the bad sales? And the sound at row 5 that was the most expensive from the beginning didnt have so great sound, the special guests we even couldnt hear, we even could talk 2 eachother easy... But i am very pleased to have been on my first show that lasted 2.5h :) many artist don't even last 1.5h!
If you love me or you hate me
I don't give a damn!!! 8|

After all the Meanings of all the others here here is my Opinion

It was a great Concert but because of the Weather Conditions (always remember it was Indoor with a open range to Outdoor) may be some things were missing for example the fireworks (I Think if the weather was better, they would have made a great big firework till the end)

But these are only some simple Meanings in the End so far all the other Things were great and it's ok that they didn't play something new from the Album better the old Stuff than a experiment the people maybe won't like either

So but we all know that the manager allready told the Bild Zeitung that there will be another Concert in 2012 and maybe this Time than we have much more better conditions to appear it a really Techno Inferno

This was my first time in Hamburg and it was a great trip. I arrived at Thursday with a friend. After not having slept - AND been out and drinking the night before (a friend of us wanted to throw a "goodbye"-party for us), I was so extremely tired and felt awful when I arrived at Hamburg Airport, thinking negative thoughts about how we would never be able to find our hotel (it was close to the Arena), and I just wanted to sink down in a hole in the ground. Luckily my friend was more awake (and more used to traveling) so we found our way via the S-Bahn without any complications.

Fast forward to Saturday, and after a few good nights of sleep I felt awake and ready for the show!! We were planning on walking to the Arena, but right before we were about to leave, we met some Danish people from the room next to ours who were also going to the concert. They were extremely nice and fun people and asked us to join them. In their room we got served way too much to drink. Now, being a Scooter fan since '94, attending my first concert, I did NOT plan to drink an risking being too drunk at the concert. I didn't want to miss the feeling, the atmosphere and worse: Barely remembering the show. But the Danish people were already quite drunk and insisted we had to try the one drink after the other. At the same time I was actually starting to feel nervous about the concert. Originally I wanted to be there early and make sure to get as close to the stage as possible (I was standing in the second standing area). But now, I just wanted to "chill" a little more, thinking that we still hade lot's of time, no need to hurry... It was some kind of nerves about finally seeing my heroes... As a stupid concequence I kindly agreed to try every little drink and beer... Oh, the stupidity. ^^

Sometime between 7-7:30pm we took a taxi from the hotel. I didn't even notice where the taxi drove compared to the hotel. I must have been drunk of my a*s :/ Arriving in front of the Arena I was like "woohoo, paaaarteeeey", and the cool Danish people continued to buy us beers, but I actually only drank one beer (that I can remember) after arriving. That didn't help though. First we got sent to the seating area, even though we all had standing tickets. After a while we managed to get to the right place, standing in the second area. I wanted to buy a Stadium Techno Inferno-T-shirt, but of course they were sold out. It didn't matter much because I already was wearing the "I Like It Loud"-T-shirt. This is where the story gets really frustrating...

ALL OF THE SUDDEN Scooter were on the stage!!! They were in the middle of "Hello!" before I realised they had started. I missed the Intro and all. Until reading the other stories here, I wasn't even sure they played a intro, which would be very weird. And so I rushed to get a good standing place, leaving the Danish people and my friend behind. I can't believe how I did it, but I ended up in the second row behind the fence, a little on the right side of the stage. I saw the concert very good from here, but to me, the whole night became just like some kind of a wild party. Even though I was glad to be there and sometimes catching myself getting goosebumps, especially under the already mentioned "Sunrise (Ratty's Inferno)", I think I was getting a little too wild, and not able to capture the moment in a memorable way. Of course this wouldn't have happened if it weren't for the alcohol.

Luckily I had a small device designed to actually capture the moments, called a "camera". :D I took a lot of great pictures and videos. When I was not busy doing that, I was jumping and waiving my arms, bumping into the heads of everyone around me, I even apologized to someone after the concert. Even though this behaviour is annoying as hell, EVERYBODY was in a good mood and noone got angry because we all had a good time. I was in heaven when they played RAMP! and No Fate, two of my all time favorites. And in the middle of Call Me Mañana, when H.P. screams "Is there anybody out there??!?!?", I turned around my camera and slowely filmed the entire crowd on the massive Arena as they went insane!!! All in all, I do remember a lot of the concert, but I tink it went fast as hell, and I thought the sound could have been higher. A lot of details and even a few song is almost missing from my memory!!! But, at least I still had my camera, right...?

Well... On Monday I left Hamburg, and after 2 flights and a lot of waiting, I was finally home... Only to discover that my camera was missing from my luggage. I have no idea how it happened as the luggage was checked in during the whole trip, and I know for sure that I put my camera in there! I've called the hotel just to be sure, but they didn't find any camera on my room. I've contacted the airline, but they will not be able to give me an answer for 3 weeks!!!!!! So I'll just have to wait and see...

As for the concert: I obviously had a great time, a little too great becuase of the alcohol. I've watched the Live In Hamburg DVD several times, so the tracklist wasn't so new to me, even though they did put in a lot of great songs that weren't there last year. Unfortunately I didn't feel that REAL excitement of actually seeing Scooter LIVE, it was just like wathing it on TV, allthough from a weird camera-angle. I didn't get to enjoy the experience and digest it in that deep meaningful way that I wanted. In some ways I would like to go on more concerts, but I'm also a bit disappointed of the lack of new material. It was too much the same, I was hoping for more new stuff. Allthough I enjoyed the mash up of Frequent Traveller/We Are The Greatest/Sinead (Scooter Remix), and the way it went from house to trance to jumpstyle, and other things during the concert, I wasn't "blown away". I thought the LIH DVD looked much better and more appealing than the Arena Inferno. Maybe I'll go next time if it's indoors and I stay faaaaaaar away from the alcohol.

But I had a great time, found my friends afterwards and ended up in a strip club 8o instead of the Afterparty at H1 which was planned. Hamburg strippers = awesome!! And I'll give the concert 8.5/10!
Find out what you cannot do... And then go and do it!!

Great concert report Corwana, certainly a funny read. :D Just shows why one should be careful with alcohol in events like these. :D

He said, that the album comes out in september or october. First they wanted to do a house-style album, but then they decided to go another way, so thats the reason of the delay ;)

It was an amazing gig. Worth the trip from the UK. Is there anywhere I can watch the full concert again? I know there are some vids on YouTube but they arent all there, and the finale is missing Endless Summer/Coldwater Canyon

Oh, and what is the tune they are playing just before HELLO! kicks in. Is it a remix of The Age Of Love?

HA! Oh Jesus.... In other words.. A fast produced album with many rip offs... But its Okay.. Better that then a electro-house album.

I think when they were planning this concert the new track was going to be the within temptation remix - I don't think they were expecting it to be played on the radio! :P I think it would have seemed new to most people though, unless they read the forum regularly or listen to the podcast which played it. They would have made this medley a long time before the show because they would have to prepare it for the actual concert with the visuals and light shows and all that stuff :P So I think they sort of did play a new track because most of the people would not have heard it :)
