My trip was a great success; the fan meeting on the evening before the show was great. As I mentioned somewhere already, to me it was about as special as the show itself! Met many nice fans, some I have seen before, and many I hadn't seen before! Greetings to all! After the meeting some of the fans were planning to go to a club, and at first I was convinced that I wouldn't go, simply because I had not slept more than 2 hours during the past 40 hours or so. :D ...But something in the Hamburg night-life is sort of enchanting, and I couldn't resist going. But unfortunately the place was a bit too loud for me and I left quite soon (and at that point really started to feel my lack of sleep). I said I'd meet the fans in the concert the next day, but unfortunately it did not come true -- I left for the concert too late, and by that time the doors had already opened and people had gone to their Inner Circle places. (I had my place in the other standing area.) But I hope we'll see again and have a fan meeting like that before the next big concert in Hamburg (2012?)! I feel sorry that I didn't see the meeting crew again (except a couple of fans -- greetings!), something like this just seems to happen to me time after time. :D And too bad I once again didn't see Scooterworld. :D Damn! We expected you in the fan meeting!!

Anyway, now for the show... The weather did not seem too promising when I walked towards the arena, slight rain, but it did not spoil the mood, I was grinning widely all the way. :) What's a little rain? But it ended as I reached the place. There I had some waiting, a bit over hour, and briefly met some fans that happened to not be in the Inner Circle. I gulped down a fish sandwich (how much was it? three or four euros or so) for lunch (what fish is Backfish??) and got a cola and went to wait for the show to begin. Avantgarde came on stage. I think he was good at what he does and the set was nice, but I felt sorry for the guy because house just simply doesn't cut it in this kind of event, the crowd didn't move a muscle most of the time... And to be frank, I'm not the biggest fan of the style either. Then Die Atzen came, they were alright as well, and go the crowd moving some. They were funny. :D Then... Some waiting for Scooter, accompanied by a nice soundtrack (I wonder were those waiting songs made by Scooter?), then -- BANG the stage came alive with explosions and lights. I loved the intro, and the flag-waving robed guys. The show was great indeed, even if I had some brief disappointments (I'll list them first):
-the pyro was not over the top at all, I think it has been bigger in other concerts
-mostly just green laser -- hasn't there been other colours before?
-no new songs from the up-coming album (yes yes, they played TOO...) X( This made me angry for a while but I guess they had their reasons for that -- even if I would think they had at least one other new song in quite a finished state by now, considering the album release is in less than two months
-I'm Raving fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu-- :D I don't want to hear this song anymore!! (Ironically Stuck On Replay sounded pretty good!)
-still quite a few known and "overplayed" songs
-it was not loud -- not necessarily a bad thing, but I would have expected it to be louder, most Scooter concerts have been louder
But there were many great moments too, and of course generally the show was sehr geil. I would rate it 9/10. Some of my favourite moments:
-the intro, sounds + lights
-the edited versions and mash-ups of older stuff
-the visuals on screens
-Habanera -- man, does that tune rock the place, it really made me wonder why haven't they played it before
-Sunrise (damn it sounds awesome) with the Ratty-masked people at the top of the stage construction, looking down at the crowd -- just great!
-the guy playing the flute
-HP rocking during Fire, the guitar had different distortion/effects and lower frequency than usually and it sounded just awesome
And so on. The sound was (where I was standing) just a little too bass-y, I didn't hear the higher sounds properly. I don't know if it's about sound settings or about something else, but I've had crystal clear sounds before in an outdoor Scooter concert (loud bass + clear higher frequency sounds). But it was certainly not the worst sound I've heard, so it was fine.
Overall, top event and worth all the wait!

I'm reading some mixed reports on the gig but all I can say is that I loved it!! Scooter don't get many big gigs in Scotland these days (Clubland tour, pur-leese -.-) so it was a privilege to come to their home country and see them live with some real fans. Me and wifey have had a great weekend in Hamburg and hope to be back sooner than later ;)
My only regret is missing the posse meet-up but ce la vie ;(
Ravers unite! Maximum respect to the whole European posse!

Just came back home.

Good concert, but I expected a lot more fireworks, explosions and it wasn't as loud as I would personally want.

The atmosphere was incredible, though :)

lol , now i get it...
paul's stuff (he's a producer first of all!) is very cool , but well, i'd listen to it only when i want to chill out. its indeed nothing u can party to. but i think they also planned it this way, either it should have been just "waiting music" or contrast to the following powerful stuff.. or both ;)

Haha, thanks man. :D I have to look him up, I liked those tracks, great for atmospheric waiting.

Agree with Marat -- one would have expected much more fire & explosives and louder sound in "Inferno"!

Wo war das Inferno ?

The concert was very very bad for me! in several interviews before the concert, HP has said that they play songs they have not played. On stage should be on (more flat) dancers. Pyrotechnics should be longer and larger. I have not seen or heard X( . The intro was not an inferno and the end was just like on the last tour  . Up on The Only One, they have played only songs they usually play well X( . By Heinz Strunk and Jan Deelay you have not heard anything. The breaks were very long. Scooter used to be very long away from the stage or because the true long brake between songs  . So one can say that the show was not 2 hours. :cursing: I wonder why scooter fans with 10.000 or 15.000 for "Die Atzen" all good things to sing birthday to 25 years Scooter ?( The name scooter came with the first single in February 1995. which means that it is the only band since 17 or max. 18 years there. The time of CTN one can not count it! or? I think HP was not quite in it. we have seen that he has no right fun.

Oh Andre, the first Scooter-Single was in 1994. Why do you think, the first Single was in February 1995?

And I think, it was OK from Die Atzen, that they said, 25 years Scooter. H.P. and Rick were Members by Celebrate the Nun. So they are right.

Why the hell didn't they play Friends Turbo ? ?(

Thus it seems that they change their songs which songs are played on concert last sec, even though they promise much. Then they do not train on the tracks HP is often forgotten lyrics sang wrong, no, personally I expect it will have nothing of them.
They could run intro + Unite vibe

Forgot to mention that it was really nice to hear The Leading Horse, it's a great live track. One of my favourites in the concert. Also forgot to say that I was surprised that no Axel or Jay visited, I was somehow so sure that they'd both or at least one of them be there, given that they're still in good terms with Scooter and they live in Hamburg... But no... And yeah, the ending medley should have been new, even if it's good, I've already heard it on UTROTT tour and on a festival, so it didn't crown the concert with any special ending.

Das einzige was negativ war war die aufteilung Auf dem feld der inner circlce hatte zu viel platz und nur der wurde mit der Kamera gefilmt , naja für das war der innenraum eine grössere party mit bierduschen

die repperbahn war auch gut an dem abend

I must say, the only thing that disappointed me about the show was the lack of pyros :P otherwise it was AWESOME. I was amazed by the new version of old tracks, the mashups and some tracks I did not expect to be played (for instance Habanera, I thought they wouldn't play it anymore)

Good Show, but...

First off, a little bummed out about missing the pre-meeting thanks to some delays getting to Hamburg.

The show was pretty good, but, I was expecting a little more in terms of pyro and effects for a show that was billed as the stadium techno inferno. But maybe my expectations were a little too high after spending $2,000 on airfare alone. That being said, most of the show was still pretty good, and I had a great time belting out the tunes, though, as others have said, it was a tad on the short end, and quite a few good tunes missed (ie. united vibe, let me be your valentine, etc). The whole stadium aspect seems like the wrong type of venue. I had kind a crappy seat on the side, and seeing a half empty stadium in the periphery didn't do wonders for the overall experience. I get the feeling that a smaller, more intimate setting is better to experience Scooter. Thoughts?

For those that have been to other shows, would you say its worth it to go to one of the many smaller shows that scooter has listed on the website?

Lastly--what was up with all the drunk jackasses? That was the only really bad part in my opinion.

Peace.

Peace.
It's nice to be important, but more important to be nice

For me the concert was simply amazing, it really was ! I've got tears of hapiness in my eyes during several tracks, and beleive me, that has never happened before to me, also not on my first Scooter concert ever..... this Inferno was magical, totally magical, and the tracklist was really a great one with many many surprises !  I really don;t know how one can be negative about such a concert as the Inferno, because it was really really amazing !!! 8o

And Jay Frog wanted to come, he told me that, but he hadn't got time, because he had some gig on Saturday night. But he wasn't happy he couldn't be there to watch the concert. If you ask yourself how I know that, well, on Friday night I was at the "Übel und Gefährlich" club in Hamburg where Jay played with his Master&Servant college and Jorge ;)

I agree with Ed - it was amazing, I also had tears of happiness several times :)
We were not sure if we should sit or stand until the concert started, but we had the best seats possible and got a great overall view of the stage, also the sound quality was amazing from where we were, loud but 100% clear. It was a great concert!
