if they wanna borrow then they should make the modification on beforehand, not this way.![]()
On the JAOTW DVD we had a totally different intro than the real one, that was shocking to hear for me when I put the official DVD in my player.

but they probably had a reason to play the real exorsist melody on the concert, probably because they liked it and could play it live, but couldn't get the rights to release this melody on CD I suppose

Thank god that I also recorded the show from VIVA, so I have the original intro + RBR of the JAOTW tour![]()
I was not in Berlin so I had no idea...
Shame on you Scooter! but they probably had a reason to play the real exorsist melody on the concert, probably because they liked it and could play it live, but couldn't get the rights to release this melody on CD I suppose
With that in mind, couldn't they just have applied the same form of editing onto WTB by removing the new chorus for the original one? Given that you mentioned the introduction to the JAOTW concert was modified on the DVD, I'd imagine they could have just preserved the track and avoided the copyright restriction by inserting the original chorus on there for legal distribution afterward. This issue just again struck me as a little odd upon hearing the quite blatant alteration of the Exorcist theme in the intro, which was understandably altered for the same reason.
What's your take on this? Feel free to ask for clarification if you're uncertain of what I mean.

Most DVD's can hold up to a maximum of four hours of good quality video footage, so it obviously wasn't essential that the track be removed because of space limitation. The only other explanation is that they must have just wanted it to be an exclusive concert thing, sort of a bonus for those that were able to show up and support them on their tour. They could have easily did what I suggested and left Where The Beats on there, only replacing the U2 melody with the original chorus. There's no reason why that couldn't of worked.

(atleast I think that that was the reason why the track is missing)

But that one was on the DVD though
But I think they made this version of WTB for a similar purpose, to surprise the visitors on the concert .... and who knows, maybe they only wanted to check if people like the U2 chorus, and maybe are planning to make another track with it in the future ?

It will indeed be "massive"! Location: Sveta Nedelja (near Zagreb), Croatia
Occupation: Working on some projects and searching for a job...

I love the way when posse + jaotw are played live their choruses are slightly modified, I also like the way HP changes around the words whether it deliberate or accidental I like it! Last of all hmistf! sounds really cool live when Rick sings parts of it! I noticed that from the live in berlin dvd
I am so excitable
You'd think that consumers looking for this product would expect everything they hear to be a more than adequate recapturing of what took place that night, and its authenticity would arguably be erased had they deliberated to edit certain tracks too dramatically--which is what would have been the case had they decided to preserve Where The Beats. Those that are looking at the product for nostalgic reasons would probably equally object to hearing a track they enjoyed that night altered, as it could very well diminish the reminiscent feeling that may well have accompanied it following the enjoyment. Looking it from that angle, you can see why they perhaps removed it from the final tracklist.I think I'd rather have no WTB live version at all, than such a "manipulated" version. IMO it just wouldn't be the same and I'd probably feel kinda betrayed as I want to listen to what really was played on the concert than a version that was reworked in the studio afterwards. Cuz everytime I'd hear this "manipulated" WTB version I couldn't help myself but think that this wasn't what was really played. And that would freak me more out than not hearing the tour version at all. To me that simply wouldn't be what a LIVE album should be, namely live.
If you listen to the Amazon samples, you hear some bits that you can't hear on the DJshop samples![]()
