Yeah, there haven't been instrumentals like in the past, lately -- and many don't like Clic Clac, Whistling Dave, or The Hardcore Massive. Only Lighten Up The Sky and Metropolis live up to the skill we know they have, in regard to instrumentals. However, I'm a big fan of HP's vocals... but also, since it's been some time, I would like 5-6 instrumentals now like in the past. Great instrumentals that are emotional, not stuff like the three tracks mentioned before in this post.

i say this for months on the forum. more instrumentals like in the past. if they made more instrumentals during the latest albums, we already would have at least one album more! but i'm afraid that there are too many fans who like hp's voice in every track and when they an instrumental, it should be as weak as whistling dave or clic clac.

Hopefully by then we will hear something, maybe news about a new single. I think Scooter might release a slower song with a heavy beat next, like Lass Uns Tanzen. Such music is in demand now, and LUT was a masterpiece. I'd love to hear another one like that :D

I'm tired to wait for some news! And I'm even more tired of our empty discussions here for the last few months :( We really don't have a fresh subject to talk about...

Let's hope for some fresh news soon, to revive the forum again.....it's now indeed a bit an "empty" time on the forum....all we can do is speculate, which is great, but talking about some little news facts and speculate about those is far better...well, I suppose in autumn we wll get atleast some news, I hope ;)

I'm very looking forward to see Scooter working with some top artists on the new album.
Anyway, am I the only one who has the feeling that the next album will be the last one (or between the last ones)?

No, you're not the only one....I somehow also have that feeling :S But right now there are no signs to worry, so let's just enjoy the anticipation for a new Scooter album ;)

For sure it won't be one of their last albums. They've got loads of new ideas, in different styles, and they are full of energy. Just don't worry.
In an interview, back in 2005, during the shoot of Hello, the interviewer asked HP about the future, where will he be 15 years later, and HP answered that he'll be in the grave or on the stage.

I'd refrain from taking silly statements like that seriously. :P

While I don't think the next albums going to signify their disbandment, it's possible they'll be evaluating their future based on the number of sales generated this time round. If the record performs poorly or fails to meet their projections, I think that's when they'll consider either consider calling it quits or plan a final album as a means of say their goodbyes. Like I said a while back, I think we'd all like to be notified of this sort of thing in advance as it's not the kind of surprise one gets excited about. Announcing a final album will at the very least enable them to go out with bang, and it'd probably be accompanied by a tour.

Although I'm not entirely sure how it works, isn't Sheffield Tunes their own record label? If so, that would mean they're not under any sort of obligation/contract to produce an album after this one one way or the other. Meaning that they could very well have a change of heart and decide to pack their bags and retire any time they please. I dunno. Again, I'm not really aware of how it all functions.

But the feeling of this being the last album isn't mutual. Do you any of you still suspect Hamburg 2011 to be a final farewell, or has that view now pretty much evaporated?

There's some signs that make me think of their retirement. Scooter never did such a big event like The Stadium Techno Inferno. It looks like a last representation, like a dream to be fulfilled. Also, the guys announced many guests on the next tour. It's something like "We have to say goodbye now, but lend your ear to these guys (speaking about guests). Replace us with them!".
It's also strange to me that they didn't change the third member. Don't get me wrong, Michael is great, but changing the DJ every 4 years became a tradition for Scooter. It's a mystery to me that they seem to continue with Michael.
I hope I'm just wrong and they're gonna rock the stage for a long time from now on. I'm sure that Scooter still has to show the world what the **** they are about.

Michael leaving the group upon the expiration of his contract would actually be an indication that the band plans on incorporating something fresh with a new talent; such has been the traditional framework as Floody mentioned. While it was only speculation, although credible, someone on the forum here hypothesized that Michael remaining in the band would mean Scooter abandoning any idea of a fifth chapter in favour of extending the fourth for a couple of years and unfortunately making it the last. Nothing of the sort has been laid down officially but it doesn't by any means sound far-fetched. At least I don't think so... :S Edit: I think it was Ed.

Oh and Hans, please speak English. Pretty please.

Hmm... it does maybe look like they are retiring. But I really, really hope not. All I am going to do is sit back and wait for some official news of something.

That's the only thing left to do. We just have to wait and see.
