But due to all the touring it won't be very likely to get something in the autumn...more like spring 2011 I think ;)

It's probable... Especially if they prepare Christmas Tour to support UTROTT. But , unlike the previous tour, in winter there will be some special guests, so I think they can change playlist with some new tracks they will make in summer-autumn period ;)

Yeah no album till 2011, but I think maybe a single in the autumn

And Hamburg 2011 will be a showcasing of classics and tracks from the new album, or maybe there will be a tour next spring for the album too...

I think that if we get a single this year, it will be right before the Stuff The Turkey X-Mas Tour.
Then, one around March, and a new album right before The Stadium Techno Inferno.

Yeah, these waiting phases without any news are the worst... Anyway, they have some shows coming up, but I still don't think it's that much, not too much to prevent their working a lot on the new stuff -- 1 gig next month, 2 in September, 6 in October (5 of them in a row), 1 in November, then the December tour -- which I think is about the only one taking their time totally (and it's near X-mas too, so they'll have their holidays too). There should be like four full months to work before December.
Oh well. I just hope for a new single soon, I'm so impatient. :D (Don't tell me there are other records to wait for too, I know, there's 12 on my list I'm waiting for...) I think it'd make sense to release the new album some months before the Inferno -- it would give people time to listen to the new songs, and anticipate the show more, knowing there'll be those songs in Inferno. (Just hope the new album will be good...) I think the chances are good for really huge stadium sound, hopefully they're making the record while keeping this unique event in mind... Damn. Someone ask Mike on facebook what's going on... :D

yeah ask mike anything is better than noting, ialso think a single is likely before the tour, like september or something like that, i do recon the album will be next year,
and scooter can produce on the road, they did with jump that rock, unfortantly scooter have little time in the studeo with these tours, this happened in 2008 with all the tours so it is likely gonna be a wiat

ok i have just been looking at scooters tour list and noticed that oviosly december is jampacked with UTROTT dates, also october is pretty busy too at the end , but there is only 1 date in august, two in september and 1 in november

so scooter do acually have a lot of time to work in the studeo, so with luck scooter could have some new material out by the end of the year, at leat a single

From Scooter we can expect everything. I wouldn't be surprised when we atleast get a new single before december 2010.....it would be just like with JTR (WYW), that they added to the playlist on their gig in december 2008. The gig was part of the 2008 JAOTW concert range, but yet they switched tracks for the new one, so it could happen again this time + Scooter have some UK Clubland gigs, so it would be a wise descision to play some new single there, to promote the fortcomming album ;)

why are some people talking about the next 3 months. there are already 3 months passed to work on new material. they only made 1 track this year and they changed a few songs. nothing more. as I said before. they should go back to the heavyweight jam. 5-7 lyrical tracks and the rest instrumentals. if they had done this the latest albums we would already have an album more!

and what about the sheffield jumpers? i thought they had something new too...

You are right... It sets thinking - do they have more ideas to surprise us? :) I'm sure Rick has such ideas, it can't be differently. But why they didn't produce smth massive except LIH ? This is the question :)

New news, posse! According to an interview with Slovakian radio, the new album is indeed in the works and they have started it already, and it will be different from their previous fast and hard albums.

Will it be like TUAO? I really liked that one ;)

Yay. :P

I recollect them saying something about working on new material a few months back, but I'm guessing they actually meant that the base of the album was in the planning stages as opposed to actually getting to the whole sequencing thing underway. So now that they appeared to have determined what direction this record is going to take, we can expect them to begin working on it within the next few weeks. And I think BigJ also mentioned that they haven't actually completed a track yet, which almost confirms that we won't be seeing a new album released this year (it's very unlikely). But a new single is no where near off the table.

Yup, great news. I want more now. :(

Yes, yes, yes!! I had a strange feeling I might hear some bit of news today, and here it is... 8o Can't wait to hear more, this makes me really curious. Like TUAO -- somehow I think not, although can't say what it will be like. I instantly thought of some of the instrumental stuff from Age Of Love and Wicked (especially Awakening's beginning), and the Stripped orchestral version. Man, if we got stuff like that, it'd be so cool. Anyway, the important thing really is that they have ideas and a direction now, and are working on it! Since it's been few months of quietude, I think they've probably done experiments in the studio, that takes time too. Hmm -- maybe something like P.U.C.K.? Would be an interesting style. Whatever it is, I think it'll be refreshing. So many possibilities... Maybe more CTN style?

Or alternatively it means that the album will be even faster and harder than their previous fast and hard albums, although I kind of understood it to mean something more calm. :D

@kriszti: I think all the news about the album progress should be brought over to this topic! Like Almanac did. 8)

@kriszti yes, that is where I got the information, just thought I would inform everyone else :)

I'd really like to see a return of something like Coldwater Canyon, it's my favourite first chapter non-single (especially that gated synthesizer    )

Michael is a House DJ if I recall correctly, so it sounds like Scooter might be making some house like P.U.C.K on this album, and I really enjoyed that one. Might be slower, but that in no way disqualifies it from being Party Music!!!

Maybe a little something like this, with H.P. MCing over the House track Michael and Rick lay down ;)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F8qhH9Ax2Us

Note this song is around 128 BPM, which is over 20 slower than most of Scooter's stuff, but its still a wicked party track  I can see Scooter producing a less hip hop style track like this 8o 8o 8o

Yeah, the chances for some house are good, I think. It could be that this album will be more "chill-out" and ambient. Scooter hasn't really done such an album before. I wouldn't mind something that is not so party-oriented, it'd be interesting if they tried some low-bpm stuff that could be listened at 5 am at sunrise in summer... Something highly melodic and beautiful which doesn't require one to jump around. Well, the album will probably be quite different from my predictions, as usually. :D

I'm not so sure, I actually think you're right. After two albums as high energy as JAOTW and UTROTT, I think they're gonna do something like TUAO, with some party tracks, release those as singles, and the rest will be pretty chill 8)

I think I'd rather have an entire album structured around Second Wave synthpop than anything else. At least SWS is sweeter and more brilliant melodically, as demonstrated by artists like Lights and Owl City. House just isn't my cup of tea. And I'm sure synthpop and certain varieties of it aren't as appealing as they are to some either. However, if you're looking for something to match the description above, then look no further than the likes of Adam Young. Of course, whether Scooter could incorporate something so bubbly remains to be seen. But as I mentioned in another thread, it wouldn't hurt to do something like the remix of Hello Seattle in one of their instrumentals.

IMO, Owl City is a bit too calm for Scooter, I think even if they try, it will be harder than Owl City.
