Near definite proof we may have a 5th single, and that it will be Where The Beats...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjlQ5ArwY7E&feature=related

Seriously, this version is massive, and it sounds VERY different from the original, and much better. They changed Where The Beats... more than they did Stuck on Replay, and that became a single. I don't think there would be any point to spending so much time on making a great track for a live tour. I think we have experienced the 5th single :D

(I have yet to experience it, still need to go to Leipzig :p)

i was just about to start the same topic. the new version sounds amazing!!!
i've only heard it from the link you posted and this bad quality video here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XkAYAb8WDwo
but from what i've heard i completely love it and think almost 100% it will be the next single probably released around june or july.

Do not be too fast with your opinion: the reason why they changed the chorus of "Where the beats..." ist due to copyright issues when releasing the Live DVD, so they do not have to change it afterwards like it happened in berlin.

Anyway, if it will be next single it would be ok but I rather would like to see State of mind as the next single 'cause it does not have the HPV again in the song.

even if they have changed it because of copyright i still think they will release it as the 5th single because they must have realised that just about everyone likes it and lots of people want it as the next single.

But it's ok to use and sell the old version on an album but NOT on DVD? 8|

thats what I have heard from an "insider"

My opinion: Another hpv single is not very good, at least for us, as they used it too many times. I still prefer State of mind, the chorus of it is unbelievable goose pimpling

they also changed the chorus of bit a bad boy, so this isn't a real proof that it's gonna be the next single (if there is a next single)

Well, this one has the most change in it.

Also, this will be the second HPV single from UTROTT, while JAOTW had EVERY single (except for JTR) with HPV. Also, its not even that high pitched, it just sounds like an autotuned singer, more like the style of DJ Manian.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YtyYcn0iApw (Very similar vocal style)

Plus, I hate to say it, but Bit a Bad Boy wouldn't really sell that well IMO... Where The Beats is loads better than Stuck on Replay and Stuck on Replay is doing rather well atm.

I don't know... I certainly hope it is the fifth single. JAOTW had 5, here's to another 5 for UTROTT!

(They're gonna have to change that 2009 lyric though... maybe "We got 2010... and we're rocking the crowd again" or something like that)

Also, with the copyright issues and the chorus, I think its less of a problem with the chorus (sampled from a folk song) and the melody (downright taken from technoboy, but I don't care, I love it :D )

I'm a little drunk, so please forgive me if this makes no sense.

I was about to say that I only recall four single releases from JAOTW, but then I remembered Jump That Rock (WYW)-- which was essentially the same album wise. But, technically, that was released under the re-release of JAOTW entitled JAOTW (WYW); although I guess you could indeed say that five singles were released from that album, as they were pretty much the same.

That new version sounds really awesome! While a new single sounds more appropriate to me, I definitely wouldn't oppose the release of this edited version of Where The Beats...

I'd like to hear the new chorus of Bit a Bad Boy too. Any idea where I can hear it?

I really hope that it becomes a single. Otherwise it would be like TSTKE all over again. Everyone wanted that as a single.

Wow, it's much better than SOR, it's a pity that I didn't know about this version.

By the way: It MUST be a single!

Yeah and it would've been the best off that album. HP even said he fancied it as a single on the interview that comes with the bonus disc.

As for Where The Beats, it's the obvious choice for a fifth single, but I'm surprised they've decided the re-work the melody (the focal point of the song) instead of the synth part which I regard as a bit weak.

TSTKE? Bah, I hate theese abreviations, though I normally know their meaning, but this one got me.

If they did new version of Bit A Bad Boy and Where The Beats, why don't they sell them in the shop, just like they did with Stripped (Orchestral Version)?

I hope there's no fifth single. Instead I want a shiny new, SELFMADE (in sense of: OWN ideas, melodies, and stuff).

I agree. Though the sound quality isn't very good, the new chorus of WTB... sounds more autotuned than high pitched.

They changed the chorus? But the chorus with its sweetness and hymnic character was the greatest strength of the album version, I doubt that the new one will be better, but I will let myself surprise on Tuesday in Raststatt. ;)

Everyone wanted that as a single.
I recollect a poll on here a few years back that was designed to see what remaining tracks from TUAO had single potential, and TSTKE was the most popular if I remember correctly. I also remember the counterargument for this being so, as members were convinced that a single with more of the 'dub, dub, dub' chants was unsuitable for being more so the same as Maria and Rock Bottom. However, the support and interview with them mentioning its single potential pretty much generated support in its favour. It also sounded pretty damn awesome-- although it's not one of my favourites.

Which version do you prefer?

I can't really make out much from the Youtube videos captured at the concert, so it's kinda frustrating that I'll have to wait a while until I hear this new version more clearly. The new HPV does sound really good though. You remember the lyrics? They've clearly been altered entirely (aside from the Where The Beats... bit, obviously).

I can't remember the lyrics of the new HPV chorus, but it's a fact it sounded very good, and more well known (the melody) than the original one. But I can't say what version is better, both sound super, but I think the album version is still the best, but on the other side the new version did sound great too, I can't decide really what's the best version :D But the "Where the streets have no name" chorus fits more logical to the songtitle. When I first read the songtitle I thought Scooter covered that famous melody, but after hearing the sample back in 2009 I was surprised to hear a different chorus melody ;)

Is the new chorus
-something completely new and written by Scooter?
-still based on the same song ("Ireland") the album version was based on, but with many changes so that there are no legal problems (like "Roll Baby Roll"/"Swinging in the Jungle")?
-a cover of another song/based on another song?
