Well, in this moment there is nothing to read about the kind of riddle (where you had to guess which band is meant) on www.iihf.com

I'm pretty sure, they will give some info about the anthem in the next hours.

Hmm...strange, it was still on there Yesterday, but I checked the old link, and indeed it doesn't work anymore..... so probably they are now preparing a page whit more info about the song, lets hope so ;)

On the special Championship site is also no info at all about the opening track: http://www.iihf.com/channels10/iihf-worl…-wc10/home.html strange :S

Ok, now we know for sure what was clear before, but nothing really new in fact....
Damn, I'm so curious...! ;)

(a question to the native English speakers once again: What is the right word? Hymn or anthem? When I still went to school, my English teacher once told me, I shouldn't mix up those two words as "hymn" means a song you sing in church and "anthem" is the right translation for the German "Hymne" ?( )

just listen the sample, it's a little bit reworked. I'm curious if this version has a C-part or not. And I'm wondering, that means that this is the next single, or it was a bit reworked for Hockey Championship?

I can't hear it at work, but am curious how the re-work sounds..... but it's not a real hockey tune somehow :S .... but the album version was a catchy tune, so it should work for the sales I recon.... can't wait till 17:00 when I will be able to hear the sample ;)

Since almost all Facebook entries by Scooter are in really bad English (or English German?), you can assume that anthem is right. :D

yeah i'm sure they mean anthem not hymm :D because for sure it will be an awesome anthem as the preview suggests, not a church hymn

I didn't yet heard the sample, but I can already say, that this is again a lazy performance of the guys. Why didn't they created a new song, which would be a lot better for a event like this one here?

... or LUT based ...

:D :D :D I actually had this very same horrifying thought, but I decided not to even say it!

Well, we can never be sure, they used LUT parts for several remixes already :D

Well, nothing would have surprised me anymore... :whistling:

I'm disappointed now. Nothing more to say.

No Blazkowicz no....this time i can't agree with you. First of all u judge before u even heard the sample. Even so...wait until you hear the whole track. I don't defend them because SOR is not one of my favourites. At least this time they have an excuse...the tour... And if they had made a new track everyone would be angry and come up with some text "instead of prepare the upcoming tour they are running for money, produding a new track for every new even like this" Looks like whatever Scooter does lately is not good....

Nonsense. If they were to produce a new single for this painfully boring hockey tournament, it would at the very least escalate the anticipation toward the tour to levels that would have you begging for next month to come just that little bit faster. I was hoping for an entirely fresh track myself, but I was a huge advocate of releasing this magnificent song, and, needless to say, I'm not disappointed by their decision. From what little snippet of music we have at the moment, I can tell you without shame that I am extremely excited about this performance. I honestly think we have a winner on our hands. The combination of that immaculate trance-like sound and breathtakingly seductive HPV-- something tells me this is going to be huge.

Somehow a bit more like FIRE or JAH.... a bit harder tune so to speak...but I haven't heared the new sample yet, and I read that there were some changes to the album version, so thats always good ;) I hae nothing against that tune really, it's not my favourite, but I see it work in the charts very well ;)

This version is indeed harder. There are synths that sound very deep trancish behind H.P.'s vocals, and during the chorus the instrument is also harder (I don't quite know how to describe it, sounds like some sort of Roland preset though to simulate a pluck, but not really ?( , you have to hear it for yourself) and of course the occasional effect and a small change in the autotune.
