She only feels utter contempt for the perpetrators and has stressed quite clearly that doesn't want to seek personal retribution of any kind. I'd be a lot more vengeful if I was attacked, but she's a great deal more passive than I am. I'm glad that this event has instilled in her a sense of pride about herself-- which is much more desirable than feeling constantly depressed about being victimized. Putting her frustration and upset into her activism is a lot more healthy than seeking out means to hurt them, I think. Although I'd be tempted to do what you suggested Acid (loving your new username, by the way). And in terms of being a progressive society, I think we very well are one, but there's still a lot of prejudice to tackle. The way to escape hateful ignorance is through education; and even then, some are unreachable. And while I understand that there are bigots out there who will insidiously victimize innocent people for being themselves, you never think someone close to you is going to experience such vileness firsthand.

I adore her spirit in managing to keep so lively and cheerful, even after a traumatic experience like that. I think she also finds a great deal of comfort knowing that there are people out there who will support you no matter who you happen to be, and, most importantly, accept you unconditionally. There are some really wonderful people out there and I'm glad she hasn't lost sight of that. It's also made me feel somewhat more empowered about undertaking the tasks and help I require to be me. I'm just glad to have a friend that I can look up to.

If everyone were like you say she is, the world would maybe be able to reach global peace...

T!M, you really sound like a HUGE Slipknot fan! I really wish they could still consider continuing with the band but I don't know... :S After these tragical happenings it can be impossible... ;(

So they've been in Finland! Ok! 8) I didn't know that. I'm not THAT much into their music that I'd go to see them I think... But, the gigs must have been amazing experiences for fans. ;)

I really am :) There's still no information on the future of the band. But that's okay to me. Maybe they don't know about that themselves right now. And at the moment there are more important things like that. The band itself has posted a video, where you can see Paul speaking about every other member and in the end also about the band's brotherhood. I really think this video really shows what Slipknot is about. And to know that Paul's gone is heartbreaking. The way he speaks, his words...heartbreaking. ;( Here's the link.

Corey and Jim, Slipknot's singer and guitarist, are playing with their second band at Rock am Ring tomorrow. Definitely going to watch their performance.

I'm in a good mood today.
Have played Counter-Strike Source for an hour at school, it was awesome. Unfortunately, I can't download it at home because it would take 2-3 days (5 KB/s  )
But I found out that my grammar test is 100%. I don't know how did I make that, 'cause I didn't learn at all. 8|
Finally the weather is much better than on the last few days. It's sunny here.

The weather is: 35°C
And I'm tired! I'm too lazy to do anything than computering.
I had to run for 12 minutes in a row, in hot, and with a huge pain in both legs. Got a 1 mark. Who cares.

Good luck, Bjarke ;)

I'm at work right now and even though there's a lot to do and it's going to be a lot day, I'm in a quite good mood right now. Hopefully that doesn't change throughout the day...

same here too, at least 35:P But here in Kronstadt we are sorrounde by montains, with peaks up to 2500 m, so it's pretty good here during summer.
I was in a good mood today, only a bit worried about some school matters.
