£15.75?? 8| now, that's a hard price...

Doesn't surprise me, really. Here in Norway the regular price for new cd's is 199 kroner/about £20.00.
But then, it's not really expensive here, even though it's enough.

I've been watching Clubland tv from half 10 this morning. Not once i've i seen an advert to promote the album. I'd thought AATW who owns Clubland and Scooter would be doing there best to sell the album :S
I know what you mean! I've yet to see one iota of promotion-- excluding the inclusion of J'adore Hardcore in the new clubland album, which does to its bit in raising awareness of their presence at the very least. On the other hand, the promotion of the album itself will mean customers will end up stumbling upon the album instead as a consequence of not being adequately informed. Jumping All Over The World still appears to be selling well, so this contributes to sales a little. Consumers searching for Scooter albums within the major retailers will see it on sale, noticing UTROTT nearby. I know, I know-- I'm probably going out on a huge limb here, but every little helps.

Without a sufficient amount of promotion the album is surely destined to esoterically appeal to the already prominent UK fan base, and likely those close to them personally. A few recommendations from us is hardly going to make a significant difference though. I don't know what to think at this point. Perhaps Nic's adamant conviction that advertising the product during the breaks of the countries most popular shows will initiate a proliferation of purchasing, reversing the clear lack of chart fluctuation. It's AATWs responsibility to do this. Nonetheless, I can't see this generating the same amount of success of JAOTW.

Out of interest, who was responsible for bringing PTBFTJ, TSTE and the singles that went along with them, to the UK?

Not top40 today. Enya's album seems to of climbed abit so UTROTT should be between 41-50 i'd imagine.

Yes I'm sure Edel were - I think Maria was the last UK release with Edel, but I could be wrong.
They used to send out those great promo cards prior to a new release :)

No Promo. No Sales. Dead and gone...
An inevitable eventuality indeed.

Scooter's small spark of popularity here is looking moribundly bleak in light of this disturbing indifference. Saying that, I think it's too early to conclude that the album will proceed to remain unnoticed by British consumers. I'm predicating promotion will likely pick up as soon as AATW are finished with raising awareness of the talentless artists that Scooter are inadvertently competing with. I fail to see the utility in bringing an album to the UK market only to neglect the promotional aspect of it all. I'm sure AATW aren't that incompetent.

If they continue to negligibly avoid acknowledging the actions necessary to increase sale figures, then the inevitability of Scooter yet again receding into a distant memory will take place. I think Scooter are better off finding someone else-- you never know what's going to happen with these guys. A company a little more committed and reliable perhaps should be contacted and selected. A company too capriciously unreliable shouldn't be held responsible for this sort of thing.

Thanks! I suspected they were.

What happened to Edel? Is there a reason they no longer distribute Scooter albums in the UK?

I don't think Edel UK exists any more. They stopped being signed to Edel in Germany around the Sheffield time I think, but Edel UK still kept the UK rights. When Edel UK was closed the UK release rights were picked up by AATW, first release being Jigga Jigga.

Not sure who has the rights in the UK to the pre-Jigga Jigga back catalogue, as the old singles and albums don't seem to be available digitally.

Well, its good to hear the advert is being shown on The Simpsons :) although I fear it is a bit too late now for a decent chart position :(

HMV in Birmingham only had 6 copies of the album on the shelf, and no adverts. In fact, I had to look very hard for the Dance section, and even then it was woefully small. Such a shame to see dance music in general is over shadowed by shitty pop and rock :(

I have yet to see the TV ad, but it's good to see it's found itself onto a prime time slot :D If it was on during Alan Carr's TV show tonight, I have a feeling it might do good for the sales, but I doubt it will be on mind :P
