AFAIK they aren't nominated in Best Live Act, but in two different categories:

Rock/Alternative National:

Rammstein
Element of Crime
Sportfreunde Stiller
Die Toten Hosen
Selig

Album des Jahres National/International (Album of the Year):

Rammstein

Lady Gaga
Silbermond
Depeche Mode
Peter Fox

But I think it's going to be very hard for them to win an award this year. In the category "album of the year" I think that either Peter Fox or Lady Gaga are going to win an award. Both of them had massive success with their records throughout the whole year. But if Peter Fox won the award it would be quite strange, as he won the award for the album of the year with the same record "Stadtaffe" already in 2009 (his album was released in october 2008, I think). But I'd rather like to see him winning than Lady Gaga. His album is really awesome.
And when it comes to Rock/Alternative I think the Sportfreunde Stiller are the strongest competition, as they had massive success with their unplugged record last year.

Album of the year would BELONG to Rammstein! But I don't believe at all that they would win... :S It's always some Lady Gaga  . But good to be even nominated. It's A LOT for an industrial metal band. 8)

Yep. I think Rammstein already have won 7 or 8 Echos. They even performed "Keine Lust" in their fatsuits in 2005 there (which was half-playback as far as I can remember). And their acceptance speeches are kinda legendary :D

Yes, I know this speech! :D :D They are hilarious! :D :D

They were also nominated for Emma Awards in Finland. (They won "the best international band" 2006.) But this time Tokio Hotel won... What a surprise. :D

Nothing fits better to the awards like this than Keine Lust! :D :D But the audience most likely don't get the point at all! :D :D :D :D

Peter Fox just won the Echo for Album of the year. IMO the third best choice after Depeche Mode and Rammstein. So the only category left for them is Rock/Alternative National.

I don't believe at all that R+ would win... After all this indexing stuff and so... :whistling: But I hope for it though. Even though I don't know if they wanna get any awards themselves... They know they are beloved by certain people in any case and hated by certain. ;)

Hm, they didn't show the second category Rammstein were nominated in. So I guess we'll know tomorrow wether they at least won one Echo.

But when they showed the music highlights of 2009 they briefly mentioned Rammstein and LIFAD getting censored. They also mentioned the video for P'ussy and then they showed the scene of the making of the P'ussy-Video, where Till said: "Everyone just does what they're good at: One guy f'ucks well and the other pretends he can" :D

EDIT: Apparently Rammstein won the category "Rock/Alternative National", that's what it says in the yellow box in the link. So congrats to the guys for their next Echo!

yeah, they're really awesome live. Did Flake wear his tinfoil suit? A shame he had to replaced at some shows earlier :/ I had looked forward so much to seeing him run on the treadmill :D

I think so too. And Schneider has also said in some interview that they'll pretty surely shoot some gig... ;) There will come LIFAD DVD for sure. The tour and the album has been a huge success and they know that fans are waiting some good quality DVD again. :P I can't wait!!
