Cheese on UTROTT

So according to you, where's the cheese at in the album, of course after listening to the samples...

Cheese for me :
Stuck on Replay : Chorus
See Your Smile : The whole track
Clic Clac is just plain cheese and is very bad

Yes, these 3 tracks you mentioned above are for me also the tracks with cheesy chorusses. The tracks sound good in between the chorussen though, but the chorusses itself are "simple". Not that they are bad sounding, they sound happy and joyfull, but just don't give a feeling of quality to the tracks, they attach a cheese-factor to this tracks, and that's a pitty, because with different chorusses these tracks could have been really very good...now they are mediocre , but still they are listenable without a doubt. ;)

Clic Clac is for me Whisling Dave part II as well, that one was pretty awful, but I think that Clic Clac is even worse... 8o Very smelly cheese there !

I don't like the Pinokio theme in this track, it might sound joyfull, but it has been used already in so much cheesy dance tracks in the past, that I really have something against that melody in a Scooter track.....it's a happy track, but that's all.....too much cheesiness

Personally, I find Whistling Dave to be a quality tune and deffinitely worthy of dancing to it with the lovely miss Stewart.

Obviously, I'm yet to hear any of clic clac, but I'm sure I'll like it when I do.

in which dance tracks? I think you confuse it with the melody from 'tuta tuta tutata'.

Well, I hate to say this, but in my opinion the whole album has a massive cheesy touch. JAOTW Part 2, nothing really changed, and I really dislke JAOTW because of it cheapness.

But to take the focus on the tracks with the most cheesy aspects:

- "Bit a bad boy": The chorus is nice, but absolutely doesn't fit to the rest of the track and of course not to the title.

- "See your smile": The chorus.

- "Stuck on Replay": The chorus. Overused. Mark 'Oh made a cheesy dance track out of it already, that is enough for me.

I have heared this melody that is used in CC very often in dance tracks, I always though it was called Pinokio theme or so....I might have given it the wrong name in that case....but this melody in CC was used in the past in several dance tracks for sure....I even have some compilation album on which this melody is in a track.

Same here...as well as being good makes a change from all the identikit cheesy vocal tracks on JAOTW...sadly on part 2 there's only Clic Clac to break that up. (as there's nothing to break up when you reach the last tune)
We started in 1994....in 2012 we're still on the case!!!

The whole album oozes with cheese, with the exception of max 2-3 tracks.
Slipping sideways, silver stars collide
And fade away just like our love that died
And there is nowhere in this universe to hide
From you tonight...

the whole hpv thing is cheese! combined with jumpstyle it sounds like techno for children. first i thought i'm getting too old for it but when i listen to the old songs i still like them very much.

they will never again create monstertunes like posse, ramp and nessaja (at least not with jumpstyle) so they should leave it. an album without hpv....that would be something new!

Why nobody answers ScooterPosseLeipzig question?
He asked what is the cheese?

I don't know exactly, but I'll try to help you...
As far as I know it's a track which is too childish and smelly as cheese (French cheese--> they stink :D )
I don't know how to explain in to you...cheese has a specific type of a sound...
Listen this Scooter - J'Adore Hardcore (Megastylez Edit)
Cheese starts at 0:40! 8)

Hope it helps... :)

haha. That's true, but the guys here mean with cheese a track, which sounds like trash or too much commercial. Many people for example say, that the german dancecore / hands up genre is cheesy music.
