Hardcore mission ?

Somehow I have the feeling that the next Scooter album (after UTROTT) will be hardcore album. Why? Maybe they`ll go that way "Hard (JumpStyle), Harder (HardStyle) and the Hardest (Hardcore)" What do you think about that?

it is certainly possible. I'd like to see a mixture of European and UK hardcore, maybe some trance as well. I think trance is their best stuff, the 3rd chapter b-sides and Way Up North are awesome. So who knows...? :)

maybe the next album will be the 5th chapter, if scooter do the usuel mike will leave after the tour and a dvd/cd live will be released and the 5th if they do will start, so a new style is always possible, infact if mike stayed a new style is possible, this is scooter after all.

If Mike stays for exactly 4 years, that means he will leave in less than a year - around August 2010.

Anyhow, whether Mike stays or leaves next year, a new style and sound is always possible - during the 3 albums with Mike, we've had trance/techno-inspired, jumpstyle, and now soft hardstyle/hardstyle.
3 different sounds on 3 albums - and with Scooter, everything is possible :P

It's certainly possible, a hardcore album... Let's wait and see. :) But whether Mike stays (hope he does) or not, there will be differences in style, as with every album.

There's a possibility that they will make it a bit harder again, on the next album.
But it's too early to talk about the next album now ^^

You're really impatient, Acid :D

I'm glad Scooter ain't releasing albums every 3-4 years, cos then we'd have to lock you into some madhouse after 2 years :D

I recall reading that's an instrument or sound effect or whatsoever, related to production/performing, is it so?

303 is the instrument who played main role in acid trance, oldschool trance and hard trance for over 10 years. In oldschool trance sounds like a frog choir, because they use it "dry" without the distortion.

This is the first sound that you hear in the beginning of Move your ass and its present in almost all ATBGO tracks.

In ramp you can hear the hardtrance 303 effect - right before the last chorus!!! It sounds amazing.

Josh Wink - Higher state of consciousness is entirely built on that sound.

I love the sound of a 303, although I bet one would be hard to come across these days. I saw Orbital a couple of days ago and they used it heavily in their set. Just a quick thought - Did Scooter not use the Novation Bass station? I remeber reading that they used to use it, and it is apparently a very good emulator.

Anyway, I do seriously hope that Scooter will not make Hardcore. They should stay as they are now, Maybe with some more trance tunes like metropolis with a mix of something new and fresh (This time we get hardstyle, last time was jumpstyle etc...) And, Hardcore is not comericaly popular (And I doubt that Scooter could make it so).

Except that they went from commercial jumpstyle to....commercial jumpstyle. I hope they do go to hardcore, even if it sounds like Darren Styles's clubland stuff at least it's got more speed :P (but somehow I can't see it happening)

I saw Orbital a couple of days ago and they used it heavily in their set.

Haha, wicked, they were amazing, and it's nice to see someone who knows who they are! :P :D

I could see a Darren Styles or Breeze remix of some of their songs coming up (If all goes well in it being released here) But to be honest I think that will be it. Maybe they could experiment with it on the next album and have 1 happy hardcore track and see what the reception is, but I'm just not sure how commericaly popular it could be. It may hae been when ATBGO was released, but the music scene has changed alot.
