I will look out for you. E.P. really is looking forward to it. I suggested we had a party for her after the concert but she said she thinks it may be too noisy for her.:-) maybe if we ask scooter to play and sing quietly she will come. :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

It would be good to meet :-) Will is 17 in January, and is staying on at school to do A levels.

Cycling to Hamburg sounds great - but not something I could do, but what a great idea to raise funds :)

We will have to keep in touch and see what we can do :)

By the way, could the date (12.3.2010 -- wow, already the next decade on the horizon?!) be added to the main post in this topic, it's somehow unreasonably immensely frustrating for me not to be able to see the date there. :D

And yeah, six months to wait... That's a long time! ;( But at least, as said, we've got something to wait for.
 This is a signature.

It seems to me to be pretty close beteen Ryanair to Lubeck, and Easyjet to Hamburg,

just been looking Easyjet Luton - Hamburg 10/03 £25.99, returning 14/03 £25.99 (including taxes)

Ryanair same dates, Stanstead - Lubeck 10/03 - £9.99, return £21.70, but am always a bit wary about all the extras Ryan add, but at the moment a bit cheaper.

Easyjet fly to Hamburg airport rather than Lubeck, but because the Ryanair bus is quite cheap from Lubeck it is probably as cheap and convenient as flying into Hamburg itself - hehe, I'll never forget my first trip to Lubeck when I was standing behing you and Dave in the queue at passport control, and I thoght it was you guys, but not 100% sure :-)

Easyjet is best for me because Luton is only 45 min drive away :-)

Thanks Sandra, I will give the 2 options a think. Flying from Stansted wasn't too bad last time with the coaches running from Lubeck. As its my 30th a few days after I'm not sure on how many are coming over for the weekend in Hamburg at the moment so its going to take abit of organising. £25-30 is very good for flights though.

Can any one recommend decent cheap accomodation in Hamburg? was planning to stop at Hotel Stern again but they have quoted us 86 euros per night - I think a few things may of got lost in translation though.

I stayed in a cheap hotel near to the station that was above a sex shop once, but can't remember what it was called
I need to try to stay near the station, as I am hoping to go to Berlin the next day, and I will have to meet Will at Berlin airport

I think its probably better for me to wait and book a hotel after Xmas as the prices should be a bit cheaper?

I thought I'd reserve us a room from some hotel near to the venue... I thought it would be easier to get to the venue and then back to hotel if it's near to it. Or would it have more sense to get the room from somewhere else? We'll stay in Hamburg from Thursday to Sunday so it's not just the Friday when the gig will take a place. Have you any good hotels in mind you could recommend? :?: I've never been to Hamburg so I don't have any idea of the hotels... It's just what I've seen when searching from the internet...

I have been told that the arena is easy to reach by public transport on the trains

you need the S21 and S3, and the arena station is Stellingen, the arena is a 10 minute walk from the station, and is signposted from the station, and if there are events there is a shuttle to the venue. Stellingen is about 15 mins journey from the main train station.

Staying in the area around the main station is very convenient for getting around Hamburg, and also very close to the main shopping area :-)
