Dear Scooter fans

Is it possible, that you can't see it, when something about Scooter turns into bad?

I know, I know, that this question is a bit controversy, but I saw several postings in the Comet 2009 topic for example, where some people wasn't happy, that Scooter didn't win the award. And some of them started few lines later flamings against the winner. I mean, that fans aren't happy, when they favourites didn't win something, is okay, but then to starting with a absurd discussion is very childish. It shows only, that you are no fair losers.

This dicussion in a bit different form did I also see everytime, when the discussion about the chart-positions begin. Life with the fact, that not everybody in Germany or somewhere else like scooter. A big flaming against this people will help nothing, to change they opinion.

So, please, try to be in the future a bit more respectful to the others and don't start absurd discussions with big flamings. It will help nothing. Really, nothing!

That's true, not everyone can like Scooter......and Scooter also can not win every award, that's a fact.......if people vote for another act more, than we can do nothing about it......naturally it's sad when Scooter loses an award, I was sad too, but that can happen in life, that's normal indeed.

And about the chartpositions, it's just not nice to see a song doing not so well as it deserves, that's what makes me sometimes maybe a bit sad about some of the chartpositions.....but indeed one can do nothing about it, because one can't force other's to buy a track, everyone buys what they like...I also don't buy tracks that I don't like. .....it's just that when a song doesn't do well in the charts, Scooter might think we don't like it that much, and the opposite is often the truth and we love the track, that's what bother's me a bit about some chartpositions. :?

I have no problems with the fact that Scooter didn't win, wether it's the Comet or other awards.

I know Scooter isn't much popular outside us who really like them, but it doesn't matter to me, cos they're still the best band for me 8)

I totally agree, pjad left the forum because others wouldn't accept criticism of the band and I think some people are too ptroective of them. Sometimes you need to stand back and look at the bigger picture. At work when someone makes a big fuss I always say, "it's just a burger!"

We don't need to get so worked up about stuff. I've noticed that recently. If I don't like/accept something I will ignore it(if possible) or wash my hands of it.

I agree also. I could not care less whether Scooter win awards or make chart positions. As long as they make music, I will buy their stuff and enjoy it no matter what other people think :)

like traxx said, i don't mind that they're not popular.

i waited forever for scooter to become popular in the UK but now they are (ish) it isn't what i thought it would be. but there's still the chance of more shows here so why should i complain.

i think we fight so much here because this place is like being in an ethnic minority. fighting to be recognised and to be accepted, but instead are mocked and ignored. in one way we shouldn't give that up but on the other hand, we must be nice people.

The ethnic minority who don't need a knife, don't need a gun ... ha..ha.. I love to be one of them! :D

As regards the award in my view they "won" by/trough Sido´s Beweg Dein Arsch. A "scooterized" rap is better than no Scooter at all :D
But of course... I´m a big fan of Move Your Ass...

About the Comet thing...

If someone said, that such a track like "Beweg Dein Ar5ch" can win an award called best track, I'd slap him in the face. What the hell is happening to people??
This cr4p track has nothing to do with Scooter! It's a crying shame that the guys gave their name to it.

And Scooter as the best live act? They play the same tracklist on every concert, with the same pyro schedule, same encore...

Scooter did not deserve the Comet this year. That's the truth. I don't care who won, but Scooter _did-not-deserve-it_.

And yes, I still consider myself as a fan.

Would be great, but since Florian Schneider quit Kraftwerk, I don't see a reason for spending such a ridiculous entry fee... I'm skint :)

@ fanatic_scooter
the new pet shop boys track really rocks!

If the pet shop boys still make music in their old style, why scooter can't? I'm not saying it should be happy hardcore. the 2nd chapter was quite innovative too...

About Scooter not winning all the awards and stuff... Well for me itäs more like big honour if Scooter wins something nowadays. The days when Scooter was highly more mainstream was back at 90's. E.g. here in Finland media doesn't write almost anything about the band and many people here seem to think that Scooter is the band from 90's that hasn't even made anything new material after those days. And it has always been so that many many people really love Scooter but are too afraid to confess it in public.

Now after Himos Festival I'm very very happy that the promotor of the festival really realized how big a success taking Scooter to the festival really was and after that great show there were couple of nice articles on Finnish newspapers about the show and the band. So from this point of view it's so damn great that somewhere Scoter really can win some awards! I cannot even imagine that happen in Finland.

But let's keep this our little ethnic minority friendly and nice. Remember, it's nice to be important but it's more important to be nice. And we raelly don't need knifes and guns but much courage to spread the happy message of Scooter!

Over and out.
