Actually, it's not the same band.
Back then Ferris was a part of Scooter, and even if the 3rd members don't really have the final word about releases, I believe that they have big influence on the music, just as much as Rick.
So Michael must be considered as a big mistake.

Michael is more Scooter than Jay. but both the problem with michael and jay is the money making theorie of the band. and especially jens thele ruins the band cause he has the latest hand in decisions. it's not michaels fault that they made a cover of enola gay.
i think is the REALITY!!!!!!!!!

Personally I don't think Jens has that much effect on their music. I don't even count him as a member of the band. I think the music runs around ideas by HP and Rick. Although BTC was Mike's idea if I don't remember all wrong, so of course the third man has his input to the music just as well.
 This is a signature.

You can never be sure who is responsible for this, but it's probably Jens Thele as you mentioned, that guy even looks like a money hunter lol
And I didn't focus on Enola Gay only, I meant the whole period so far with Michael is a mistake.
The only decent thing that he probably got the idea for, was Lass Uns Tanzen, that's all.
BTW, FOR U: i know a Romanian dj who has conections with Kontor records. Before JAOTW was released he told me that the guys are under pressure because of the death lines, and if it was up to the guys JAOTW never had more than 3 jumpstyle tracks :( . He also mentioned some nice things about Rick;that he would make music just because is his passion to create great sounds. And yes,he said the same thing about Jens and another manager (I don't remember the name),that they have a huge word when it comes about releases.... i think if they will release something really good;then BRAVO Scooter!! If not;then is Scooter's fault...NOT ONLY Michael.....

if I compare scooter's version of enola gay with zebras crossing the street than I can't believe both tracks are from the same band.

Whereas I personally think zebras crossing the street is tosh, to be honest. I am much more a fan of the more modern stuff than first chapter Scooter.

H.P. Rick and Jens are the big money hunters of Scooter but not Jay, Axel or Michael. They do main decisions and third members only work for their company.

Well I'm not happy about the latest album either and not on some samples they used in TUAO. but for me it's not michael's fault. he listens to his boss and that's it. it's a band of 4 people and I think michael has the minest thing to say in the band. I really miss axel and ferris but they won't come back I'm afraid.

we don't know that!!! some people say he's the mastermind behind jumpstyle yet others say he has absolutely no say. please, make up your minds! if you don't know what goes on behind the scenes why say things as if you know it's true. :?

To be honest, I have the same opinion.

I don't like much of the 1st chapter stuff. Like the AOL album, I only like Leave In Silence, Fire and barely TAOL from it...
It's first from the album NTTC and till JAOTW I actually like almost every track, except MTG, where some of the tracks are to me boring now.

And to go on topic;
I can understand this deadline-thing if Jens e.g. decides possible release dates because of the music market or whatever it is.
And also that he, as manager, has a major word in the discussion, maybe based on what he thinks will sell and be popular and so on.

I won't blame only the guys themselves for what they make, because I think Jens decides alot too.

i don't see why they need deadlines. I prefer a band to be away for a while and create a masterpiece rather than create a new album every week.

i too am not a fan of the first chapter apart from the singles. for albums, chapters 3 and 4 stand out easily. i've noticed that at the start HP was just a bit of an MC, now his shout-rapping is more of a verse. I'd love it if some of the songs had him MC-ing but without the song being dependant on his voice.

Well, he has quite much effect I think, because I read somewhere that he comes near the end of the album production very often to the studio and puts the finishing touches on the track's, or let's Rick and the 3th member put them onto the track's. So he has quite a lot of influence I recon. He in a way checks them before release if they are good enough and so on.

I think Michael is one of the best things that has happened to Scooter.
So do you think a number 1 platinum album in the UK is a mistake?

don't agree. selling platinum doesn't mean anything. jaotw was created in a style that was already dying when the hype came to the uk. and in the past scooter made their own thing of a trend, not an exact copy of it.

Scooter didn't make an exact copy of this trend, Scooter's jumpstyle track's are very different to most other jumpstyle track's, Scooter made an own version of jumpstyle in my opinion, a sort of new sub-style of jumpstyle......

But there has not been a jumpstyle trend/hype in the UK as such.

I agree with Scooterworld, Scooter's jumpstyle sounds much different from other jumpstyle tracks I have heard before.

I agree, too. We have to speak about "Scooter-Jumpstyle", because it sounds different to other "normal" jumpstyle songs.
All in all, I like the "jumpstyle beat" and it is really cool, that Scooter was the trendsetter for that kind of music.

@ will and scooterworld
scooterjumpstyle is based on the popularity of jeckyl & hyde. the name scooter is a product and that's why it's possible to have succes in ohter countries where that style ain't popular. that's the same wiht the logical song. nobody knows about solid solution, and no it's (normally) not the same band that released the bagdag track in the beginning of the 90s. but scooter didn't copy the jumptrack but made something trancier. I agree that scooter's jump is not the same as lot of other commercial jumptracks but it depends which you've heard and in which year they were released.

this is how jump started back in the day...in Belgium and not in Holland as the scootersite mentionned!

Yes, for sure if Jeckel & Hyde hadn't had any succes with jumpstyle Scooter wouldn't have chosen that style, I know that

I just said that Scooter's jumpstyle is different to other jumpstyle music, and it's nice to see that you agree with this. :)
