I LOVE scooters music. But to be honest those songs on this compilations really suck imo. It has nothing to do with the real scooter sound. Lets get that new album instead, so we can find the real summer feeling.

I ordered myself a copy of "Hands On Scooter",but only because I am a fan of Scooter.

Because,to be honest...it's really a cheap and bad CD!
They should wait more, and release it with all new tracks from better artists!

I agree with you The Chaser, the same reason I've ordered the cd...
And 8 tracks were already on JAOTW..... Sad but true hahaha

that's the baddest thing - most tracks were on the new JAOTW (why didn't they release it with all the HOS tracks on CD2 before christmas?).

the existing remakes are quite good and sometimes funny (Jan Delay, BG, Klostertaler), but I miss 1 or 2 real hits. And I miss some remakes from famous dance/techno acts like Starsplash, Brooklyn Bounce or Alex C - maybe such remakes would have been the better ones.

Starspash - The Night
Frank Raven - Friends

Indeed, 2 or 3 remakes by techno/dance artists (and it wouldn't have been too difficult to convince the BB DJ Team, Manian, Tiesto Starsplash, Datura or whoever to produce a remake) would have been closer to the original Scooter sound and we would have had catchy dance melodies, fat basses, fast beats in those tracks.
And Starsplash, Manian, Tiesto, Alex C or the Basshunter are famous names - especially Tiesto or Manian (Cascada) for the UK/US market (definitely more famous in the UK than Knorkator, Andreas Dorau or Sido)

yes, Starsplash could have released an improved version of their "The Night" mix on the HOS album. I'm sure it wouldn't have been a problem for them.
But on the HOS album there are no remakes from famous names of the techno/dance scene which have a good relation to Scooter.
a Discoboy's mix (they are at Kontor, too) of "Shake that!", Starsplash's "The Night", Frank Raven's "Friends", a "One (Always Hardcore)" mix by Marc Arcadipane and Dick Rules or another bass mix of "Back in the UK" by Double M (Brooklyn Bounce) would have been great.

I've never really been bothered listening to the hands on Scooter stuff after hearing the version of Weekend by The Bloodhound Gang.

But recently I've been listening to the Andreas Dorau cover of Aiii Shot The Dj and I must say I love it. At first I couldn't bring myself to listen to it all the way through because I thought it sounded so ludicrous. But now I can't get enough of that acoustic guitar backing and lower pitched HPV from the original.

It's a quite good remake, I liked it from the start, it was a bit like a summer remix version of Aiii SHot The DJ, very well made by Andreas. I also like the Klostertaler cover of Friends, it's so funny in this German Schlager Musik style, that it makes the track very interesting :D

The only bit from Scooter I can hear in that song is the 'Move Your Ass' vocal sample.

The friends one is kinda funny with the yodelling and accordian. I always thought the voice in the original was saying 'we all need friends'. I guess I was wrong.
